Cleveland fires Freddie Kitchens but the next coach will be just as bad. “It’s the Freakin’ Browns”

Last summer everybody and their baby’s momma, Uncle LeRoy and cousin Man-Man were screaming foolishness about the Cleveland Browns being a Super Bowl contender. Now that the lights have been turned off on the regular season the Browns are still the same ole Browns they’ve been since the freakin’ black and white television and the darn 8-track tape.

They finished a dismal 6-10 with all of the talented personalities that they thought they would be able to win with. They brought in cats like Odell Beckham Jr. and Kareem Hunt to rock with Baker Mayfield and everybody jumped off of the roof talking crazy about them being this contender.

I wrote a crazy Hot Joint back on July 4th entitled “Stop Talking Crazy” telling boyz that not only would they not be a Super Bowl contender but that they wouldn’t even make the playoffs.

Not only did they not make the playoffs but they fired Freddie Kitchens right after the clock read zeros in a 33-23 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. They finished the season on a three game skid.

The owners of the Browns, Jimmy and Dee Haslam, announced in a statement that Kitchens had been fired. Folks always kill me saying how much they appreciate a boy once they’ve been fired.

Here’s how they broke it down, “We thank Freddie for his hard work and commitment to this organization but did not see the success or opportunities for improvement to move forward with him as our head coach. Our focus is on hiring an exceptional leader for this football team and we will take a comprehensive approach to this process. We are excited about the core players we have to build around and develop and we look forward to bringing in a strong head coach that will put this group of players in the best position to succeed.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Bruh…players and coaches don’t win championships. Front offices and organizations do. The Cleveland Browns brought in all of that talent for Kitchens to coach but never changed the stinch in the building that’s called a losing culture.

There’s a reason why the same teams are in the playoffs and competing for championships every year. Duns like New England, Pittsburgh, Seattle and New Orleans are always in the hunt because of the culture in the front office.

Cleveland just ran out, got some talent and never once thought about how they would play together. Football is the ultimate team sport. You can’t just get a couple of beasts and expect to win. It doesn’t work that way.

They’ve got to change the culture in the building before they can win anything. They can raise Vince Lombardi from the dead to coach that team and they’ll still be trash if they don’t change the culture. Sure, the head coach typically dictates the culture but he has to have the blessings of ownership to do things his way. If ownership doesn’t fully buy into what the head coach is trying to do. It never works.

The Browns are the Browns and will always be the Browns until that happens. Bringing in a new coach only changes the name on the office door. Stop me when I start lyin’!
