Baker Mayfield’s arrogance is finally catching up to him! “Respect the Game Playa”

During the off-season everybody and their baby’s momma, Uncle LeRoy and cousin Man-Man had the darn Cleveland Browns winning the freakin’ Super Bowl or at least being a contender. The hype was NUTS on Baker Mayfield and Co. bringing some smoke to the rest of the league.

Well…they ran into some smoke and the fire on Monday Night Football in front of Big Momma, Aunt Lucy and Big Daddy Eddie J as they got the breaks beaten off of them 31-3 by the San Francisco 49ers. Baker came out there on some college rah-rah foolishness and decided that it was a good idea to diss the 49ers by not shaking their hands before the game. Ole Richard Sherman was not having that foolishness,

In an interview after the game with NFL.com he had this to say, “What’s amazing, and annoying, was him not shaking hands at the beginning. That’s some college s—. It’s ridiculous. We’re all trying to get psyched up, but shaking hands with your opponent — that’s NFL etiquette. And when you pull bush league stuff, that’s disrespectful to the game. And believe me, that’s gonna get us fired up.”

He goes on to say, “Respect the game. You can have rivals, but pay your respect in that moment… especially when you’re young. He hasn’t earned anything in this league. How many games has he won? He’s acting like he was the MVP last year. If Mahomes did that, it would be one thing. But he would never do that, because he has too much respect for the game. And when you see a guy who doesn’t? You humble him every chance you get. Because eventually, he will have respect for the league… or he’ll be out of it.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Baker thinks that he’s still at OU or something. He was my guy when he was a Boomer Sooner because he was the best quarterback in the country playing on one of the best teams in America that had proven his worth. The dun walked-on and started at not just one school but two. Remember that he went to Texas Tech and took over after not having a scholarship. Then he bounced and did the same thing at Oklahoma. So he could be as cocky as he wanted to be in college.

However, it’s a whole new ball game in the NFL. Everybody was the man in college. So “this ain’t that” like my wife likes to say. The 49ers made him pay for being a jerk before the game and guess what playa? Everybody else around the league is taking notes.

Like I said before the season started, the Browns won’t even make the playoffs and this car is headed for the guardrails right now. Before the season is over Baker and OBJ will be at each other’s throats. Watch what I tell you and stop me when I start lyin’!
