The Wild Card was all of that and a bag of chips. So now what?

We’re rolling into the second week of the NFL playoffs better known as the Divisional Round and some of the big dogs won’t be joining the party. We saw New England get sent to the crib on Saturday as they loss to the Titans. Derrick Henry did that thang on ole Bill Belichick and Co. as he ran for 182 yards. That’s NUTS!!!

Then on Sunday New Orleans got dropped off at Big Momma’s house with a suit case. Minnesota came in and did the darn thing in overtime as Kirk Cousins came up big as he hit tight end Kyle Rudolph on a 4-yard fade on third-and-goal to win it.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Minnesota coming into the Big Easy and knocking off Drew Brees and Co. was not on the menu playa. Yeah, duns can act like they saw it coming in hindsight all they want but we know the truth.

And I don’t want to hear Saints fans complaining about getting screwed again on a bad call. The refs missed a critical pass interference call last year in the NFC Championship game that sent the Rams to the Super Bowl. Now they’ll be upset about Kyle Rudolph pushing off to get space enough to catch the overtime touchdown. It is what it is playa. They could call it 100 times and they could keep the whistle tucked 100 times.

Brees really hasn’t been the same since having surgery on his hand but I figured the veteran team led by a veteran quarterback would at least win the Wild Card match up.

Seattle took care of business at Philly like they should have and Houston escaped a great ball game against Buffalo. So now what? We’ve got Minnesota going to San Fran and Tennessee going to Baltimore on Saturday. Then there’s Houston traveling to Kansas City and Seattle going to the frozen tundra of Green Bay on Sunday.

If the Divisional Round is as exciting as the Wild Card it’s going to be crazy. We had two overtime games the first weekend of the playoffs? That’s NUTS!!! Sign me up for it.

Minnesota at San Fran could get interesting with Kirk Cousins coming in with some confidence now. The 49ers are still new to this winning thing so they could wet the bed. Tennessee’s got no shot in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson is a video game at this point.

Houston could give KC some problems and depending upon how cold it is in Green Bay will determine if Seattle has a chance against the Packers. I’m not all that confident in Aaron Rodgers and Co. but they are at the crib.
