GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN — It was classic Aaron Rogers on Sunday night as the Green Bay Packers held off a feisty Seattle Seahawks squad 28-23 to advance to the NFC Title game next week.

Green Bay marched down the field on their opening possession to put points on the board. In less than two minutes and in only 8 plays Aaron Rogers hit Davante Adams for a 20-yard touchdown to go up 7-0.

Before I could bite into my hot dog good they were up 21-3 at the break with Rogers and Adams rolling. Adams finished the night with 8 catches for 160 yards and a new franchise postseason receiving record. Rogers was efficient finishing going 16/27 for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns. His QBR was an outstanding 113.7.

After jumping all over Seattle in the first half Green Bay would have their hands full in the second half. Young Russ (Russell Wilson) and Co. came roaring back scoring 14 third quarter points and another 6 in the fourth.

Wilson connected with Tyler Lockett on 9 receptions for 136 yards as he finished going 21/31 for 277 yards and a touchdown with a QBR of 106.5.

With five minutes left Russ figured they would get the rock back and win it. Here’s what he had to say postgame. “Five minutes left, we’re getting the ball back, the thing’s going to be over. We’re going to win it. I think everybody in the stadium, and I think everybody watching felt like that, too.”

Well playas…that never happened because the future Hall of Famer Aaron Rogers had something to say about that. Ole boy sealed the deal on two third down conversions. He hit Devante Adams on a 32-yard strike on 3rd and 8 with 2:19 left to play and then he hit Jimmy Graham for 9 yards on 3rd and 9 after the two-minute warning. Ice cold veins my friends. Ice cold!!!

The Packers were 7-1 at the crib this season. They weren’t losing at home like I told you in the preview. Now the tables turn as they have to travel this week to San Fran to bump heads with the 49ers for a chance to go to the Super Bowl in Miami. Put your seat belts on because it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
