INDIANAPOLIS — The smoke has officially cleared and the Ohio State Buckeyes have finished the season 13-0 ranked No.1 ready for the College Football Playoffs to start. After falling behind 14-0 in the Big Ten Championship Game against Wisconsin. They went on a 31-7 run to stake their claim to the Big Ten Title 34-21 just in case boyz thought they were slippin’!

With them pulling up as the No.1 team in America all of the HYPE and attention was square on their shoulders. Well playas…the Wisconsin Badgers seemed to have memory loss of the beat down they took at the hands of the Buckeyes during the regular season.

On their first possession they jumped out of the ride as aggressive as they could and went 5 plays for 83 yards. Jonathan Taylor popped a boy for 44 yards down the middle of the field for a touchdown. Lucas Oil Stadium seemed to go dark as the Buckeyes travel better than 90 percent of America.

On the ensuing Ohio State possession they methodically marched down the field and got hung up on the Wisconsin 30 yard line. The usually calm and cool Buckeyes went for it on 4th and 7 and didn’t convert. Turnover on downs. Was it sign of things to come? This wasn’t the same team we’d seen dominate their opponents all season.

Ohio State went for it on another 4th and 1 at the same distance with 3:17 left to play in the first quarter. However, the Badgers came to play in this rematch. They weren’t giving Justin Fields much time to throw the football sacking him twice in the first quarter alone.

Offensively, the Badgers were the aggressor not only running the football but throwing the rock down the field too. With 9:41 left in the half Jake Coan stung Ohio State with a quarterback keeper from 14 yards out. Wisconsin was suddenly up 14-0 and Ohio State was in a position they hadn’t been in all season.

Jonathon Taylor was running wild in the first half piling up 135 of his total 148. He surpassed the 6,000 yard mark in the first half. He became only the 7th person in FBS history to do that. He’s the only player to reach that mark in 3 years. That’s NUTS!!!

However, Ohio State state that business down like the mafia in the second half only giving up 18 yards to the talented running back.

With 42 seconds left in the first half Ohio State finally got on the board on a J.K. Dobbins two-yard touchdown.

The Badgers weren’t about to just lay down and let these boyz back in that easily. They marched right back down the field in just 4 plays for 75 yards in 32 seconds as Jake Coan scored on a 1-yard keeper to go up 21-7 at the break.

Big Momma must have cursed everybody out in the OSU locker room including the coaching staff because on their opening possession they scored in less than a minute and 10 seconds. Justin Field hit Jeremy Ruckert on a 16 yard pass in the back of the end zone to make it 21-14 Badgers.

On the next Badger possession the punter fumbles the snap on the Wisconsin 16 yard line. Ohio State was able to get 3-points out of the deal as Blake Haubeil knocked down a 27-yard field goal to pull the Buckeyes to within 4 points 21-17 with 10:45 left in the third quarter.

With 2:23 left in the third quarter Justin Field hits K.J. Hill for a 10-yard touchdown pass to take the lead 24-21. It was their first lead of the night. With that touchdown reception Hill became the All-Time leader in TD receptions at Ohio State.

The Buckeyes extended their lead to 31-21 on a Justin Fields to K.J. Hill 13 yard touchdown pass and that took the spirit away from the Badgers who had nothing else left in the tank.

Now the Buckeyes will sit in the cut and wait for the College Football Playoff rankings to be revealed and it’s Chris Brown up in this piece. “On and Poppin’!” Stop me when I start lyin’!
