The Indiana Hoosiers moved up two spots after going up to Camp Randall and beating Wisconsin 14-6 on Saturday. They’re now ranked No.8 in the latest AP poll released on Sunday and are sitting at No.9 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

The Hoosiers are 6-1 on the season heading into the Bucket Bowl on Saturday against instate rival Purdue. Their only loss came against No.3 Ohio State.

IU is ranked for the seventh consecutive week, which ties a school record. The last time they were ranked as long was in 1987. I was a student in Bloomington at the time. It’s their fourth week being ranked in the Top-10 this season, the most since their Rose Bowl season in 1967.

Tom Allen has these cats rollin’ right now and they can finish strong by beating Purdue this weekend. Nothing is guaranteed because it’s a rivalry game and all of the records are thrown out of the window this week.

The Boilermakers are struggling at 2-4 but that doesn’t mean that they will simply show up in Bloomington and lay down. IU will have to play their hearts out to finish this remarkable season. It should be fun to watch it all play out. Stop me when I start lyin’!
