It’s amazing listening to all of the Tom Brady haters this morning on social media and in my group chats. All season long duns have been saying that Brady was washed up and that he can’t beat good teams etc.
So what has he done in the process of all of this hatin’ on him? Continued to win even at 179 years old. On Sunday he led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a win over Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints 30-20.
He finished the game going 18-of-33 for 199 yards, three touchdowns (2 passing and 1 rushing) and ZERO interceptions with a quarterback rating of 92. Did I mention that he was 179 years old already?
As soon as the game was over boyz started with that foolishness again. “He didn’t play well. It was the Bucs defense that won the game etc.” Was Tom Brady the freakin’ quarterback responsible for three touchdowns and not turning the ball over? If yes, then he did his freakin’ job. Stop with that foolishness.
All season all you heard from the TB12 haters was that he was 1-5 against the good teams. Then he led the Bucs to an 11-5 regular season finish. The same franchise that finished 7-9 in 2019 and even worse in 2017 and 18. They won 5 games in each of those seasons and never sniffed a prime time game or the freakin’ playoffs.
Last week he led them to their first playoff victory since the 2002 season when they won Super Bowl XXXVII. This week he knocks off the Saints on the road to advance to the NFC Championship game next week. Are you kidding me? ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME?
Now duns are saying “He won’t beat Green Bay!” He shouldn’t have won the 11 games he won during the regular season nor the two playoff games he just won either but he did. I’m not saying that he will win next week. All I’m saying is that he’s not washed up. Miss me with the “He’s washed up” foolishness.
Does he need to go sit his old butt down somewhere? Absolutely!! Is he still better than 90 percent of the quarterbacks in the NFL today? Absolutely!! That’s all I’ve been saying all season. Don’t tell me that he’s washed up when he’s still winning games and knocking boyz off in the playoffs.
He may not win the Super Bowl this year because he isn’t on the best team but he’s far from being washed up. Stop me when I start lyin’!
