Aaron Rogers and the Packers offensive line did surgery on the Rams trash talking defense!

The Rams pulled up with a bunch of loud mouth defensive players looking to do work on the road, in Lambeau Field of all places. Their defensive front and backs typically have a lot to say. However, on Saturday the Green Bay Packers’ offense led by Aaron Rogers put the butter knife down and pulled out the surgical steel and went to work on them.

When the dust settled the Packers offense had carved up the Rams defense like a Christmas turkey at Bob Cratchit’s house. Green Bay didn’t put up hella numbers on them. They just did enough work to keep them in check winning 32-18.

Rogers finished with going 23-of-36 for 296 yards and two touchdowns and he even ran for one. He threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Devonta Adams and a 58-yard strike to Allen Lazard seal the deal. Then he ran one in from a yard out. That was the first time a Packers quarterback scored a running touchdown in a playoff game since Bart Starr did it in the Ice Bowl on December 31, 1967. I was just 8 months old at the time. That’s NUTS!!!

The offensive play calling for Green Bay was absolutely genius as they ran all types of mis-directions with the receiving corp with motions etc. They kept the Rams DB’s confused and frustrated all day.

Aaron Donald was a complete mess in frustration while starting squabbles and fights because he was getting man handled for four quarters. Ole boy was a mess early on in the game getting pushed to the ground head first etc.

The Rams front four couldn’t get to Rogers as they ended the game with ZERO sacks on the day. Great job by the offensive line of Green Bay.

For the first time all season the Packers had fans and they made a huge difference in the ball game according to Rogers and his teammates. They had only 8,456 fans but to the Packers it felt like much more. Rogers said it felt like 50,000, running back Aaron Jones said it felt like 80,000 and Lazard totally tripped by saying that it felt like 90,000. Well…whatever it felt like, it worked.

The Packers are headed to the NFC title game next week. The last time they won a Super Bowl was in 2010 when they were a No.6 seed. They’ve lost their last three conference game appearances to Seattle, Atlanta and San Francisco. They’ll play the winner of the New Orleans and Tampa Bay game.
