The Bucs signing Tom Brady was the smartest move EVER and it has nothing to do with football! “Buy-In”

Well playas…on Friday Tom Brady officially became a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. The 42 year old first ballot Hall of Famer who will be 43 by the time the season starts signed a 2-year deal for a FULLY GUARANTEED $50 million with another $9 million in incentives. Not only that, it’s got terms preventing trades and free-agency tags being placed on Brady because ole boy keeps saying that he wants to play until he’s 45.

So he’s looking to stick around and get even more guaranteed bread from them. Smart move on his part. Milk these cats while you’ve got the leaverage.

That’s a lot of bread for a cat that will be 43 years old on the back end of his career. Normally I would say that it makes NO sense to give a cat on the back end of his career that type of bread but this is the exception to all exceptions and it has nothing to do with football or his ability to play at a hight level.

There’s always been a rule in sports for paying folks. You pay cats for their potential not for what they’ve already done.

We saw the Lakers make a huge mistake in paying Kobe at the end of his career. Remember when Jeenie Buss paid ole boy $30 million for one year of basketball when he could barely move. His first step, which was his entire game, was none existent. Then they turned around and signed him to two more years because in her words, “He’s earned it” even though he was coming off an injury.

It made no sense to pay Kobe that type of bread because the Lakers weren’t going to be any more popular at the box office with or without Kobe at the time because he’d played his entire career with them. So therefore, they weren’t getting anymore new fans and they weren’t even winning. They were literally throwing money away.

However, I’m not mad at Tampa for fully guaranteeing Brady’s $50 million became they’ve got EVERYTHING to gain with him on the roster. Sure, Brady’s about to be 43 years old this season. Therefore, he’s not about to blast through the league and make the darn Super Bowl like most of these delusional sports reporters and fans think.

However, what he is about to do is make Tampa Bay, the organization and the city a gang of bread and he knows that. The Bucs haven’t been relevant in the NFL for more than a decade. They’re never on TV and nobody’s ever talking about them. Heck they haven’t made the playoffs in 13 years.

All of a sudden with Brady signing with them they’re the talk of the NFL and everybody in central Florida is hyped about potentially winning again. Hope breeds money playa. That means, season ticket sales have blown through the roof, TV ads have probably gone up 400 percent and jersey sales are NUTS right now!!!

Tampa made that $50 million back overnight. Starting Monday morning it’s all profit. That was the smartest move they could have ever made. Why? Because these media-types keep lying not only to themselves about Tom Brady’s ability to still be the best quarterback in the game but they’re lying to the fans too. When the fans buy-in they literally buy-in and the Bucs are rolling in bread. Yeah playas, the Bucs general manger should get the Executive of the Year Award right now. Stop me when I start lyin’!
