It’s hard to write a sports column when there isn’t any sports to write about right now. This Coronavirus Pandemic has us all at home trying to slow the curve. There are millions of folks trying to figure out their next move, so many folks aren’t able to work due to lay offs etc. The economy is nose diving as a result of all of this. It’s tough times but what can we do? How bout we look out for one another by being responsible.
The health officials have asked folks to be responsible by social distancing but you wouldn’t believe the amount of folks that won’t listen. Every time I turn on social media there are fools throwing parties, hanging out at baby showers and just out right kickin’ it in large groups. That’s called being irresponsible and hard headed.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Everything that happens in this world is either God caused or God allowed. If you don’t believe me spend a little time in your word today reading the book of JOB.
Sometimes God allows things to occur because he wants our attention. You’ve got nowhere to go for a awhile so spend that extra time you’ve suddenly got by spending time in his word getting closer to him. You certainly can’t lose by doing that.
You’ve got three choices. You can either come out of this pandemic a better person, come out of it the very same or come out of it a far worse person. It’s your choice. I know that I’m going to allow God to speak to me as I spend even more time with him.
It’s makes no sense in having this time and not using it to your advantage. Why not get better at what ever it is you do, become a better person or both if God is allowing you the opportunity to do so? Stop me when I start lyin’!
