Hate on Frank Vogel if you want but he’s living his best life! “Celebrity among Celebrities”

LOS ANGELES — On Saturday former Pacers’ head coach Frank Vogel agreed to a three year deal to become the Lakers new head man. Ole boy struggled in the rebuild of Orlando the past two seasons winning only 29 and 25 games respectively before getting fired. However, he’s made out like a fat rat landing in Los Angeles.

Forget what you heard playa, Frank’s a good coach and with the right players he can win. I covered him in Indiana  and he did an excellent job over the five years he was leading the Pacers. He led them to the Eastern Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons during 2012-13 and 2013-14 against the LeBron led Miami Heat.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I know that everybody’s looking at this situation sideways because he was the third option and they had to find a cat that would accept having Jason Kidd forced on them as an assistant. The Lakers initially offered the job to Monty Williams then to Tyronn Lue. They both told Lakers’ brass to kick rocks.

Lue has a championship under his belt regardless of how good or bad folks think he can coach. They offered him a chump three-year deal and was trying to force Jason Kidd down his throat. A championship coach wants to hire whoever he wants to hire and he deserved a five year deal.

Frank on the other hand, is just happy to have a job at this point and he made out. Think about how his life has upgraded in the past two years. First of all, the dun got fired in Indiana when he shouldn’t have. That was some foolishness when they let him go. Ole boy did an excellent job with the Pacers but they went in another direction.

Don’t get it twisted, Nate McMillan has done an outstanding job since taking over for Frank. However, Vogel should never have been fired.

Within three years Frank has gone from living in Indianapolis to living in Orlando where his kids could visit Disney World on a daily basis to now living in Los Angeles the city of dreams. He’s now a celebrity among celebrities coaching LeBron. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Say what you want about Frank getting this job but in his Lil Duvall voice, “he’s living his best life” right now. Stop me when I start lyin’!
