David Falk sounds high saying Jordan would average between 50 and 60 points today! “Just Say No”

From the minute they announced “The Last Dance” was going to air this spring. I knew that the foolishness was going to be on level 10. Michael Jordan was about to become the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot and the Legend of Boggy Creek all wrapped up into one.

Boyz were going to lose their minds creating the biggest fairy tales imaginable about how much better he was to every human being to ever live and those yet born. Duns were already walking around thinking that he never missed a shot because they been watching highlights their entire lives.
On Thursday his long time agent, David Falk, took all of his darn clothes off and dove head first into Willy Wonka’s River at the Chocolate Factory.
During an interview on 106.7 FM’s The Junkies on NBC Sports Washington this dun said out of his own mouth that if Jordan were playing today he would average between 50 and 60 points per game.

Here’s exactly what he said, “With virtually zero defense, no hand-checking, I think if Jordan played today; if he was in his prime in today’s rules, I think he’d average between 50 and 60 a game. I think he’d shoot 75% from the floor. If you couldn’t hand-check him, he would be completely unstoppable.”

Bruh…he actually said that with his own mouth with a straight face and they kept him on the radio!! Between 50 and 60 points per game and shooting 75 percent from the floor? David Falk sounded like he was smoking crack, heroin and chewing on mushrooms butt naked foamin’ at the mouth!! Seventy-five percent from the floor bruh? Why not 80 percent? Heck, give him the full 95 percent while you’re at it.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! First of all, players are bigger, stronger and faster than they’ve ever been before. They are far more skilled at EVERY position than they’ve ever been and they’re far more athletic.

When Jordan was in the NBA there were only two other players in the entire league that were as athletic as he was, Dominique Wilkins and Clyde Drexler. That was it!! Therefore, he was able to run circles around boyz every night. It wasn’t even close.

In today’s game there are 8 or 9 players on EVERY team that is as athletic as Jordan and several cats that are far more athletic than he ever was. Let’s start with cats like Russell Westbrook, Zach Levine, Giannis, Ben Simmons, Aaron Gordon and LeBron James. Young Russ is probably the most athletic player we’ve ever seen on the basketball court hands down. Now he’s no Michael Jordan but he’s far more athletic. That’s means you aren’t blowing past cats like he was doing in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s.

If Steph Curry is by far the best shooter we’ve ever seen and he shoots the three out of this world and doesn’t average 30 points per game. How are you going to convince rational thinking human beings that Jordan standing 6’6” weighing a mere 215 pounds (at his heaviest), who shot the three at only 32 percent is going to average 55 points per game? If you actually think that would happen you’re just as high as David Falk.

To even say some foolishness like that is disrespectful to the players today and the game of basketball. These young cats are far more skilled than they’ve ever been because they’ve been playing year-round since they were 6 years old.

Everybody handles the rock and can shoot it regardless of what position they play or how tall they are. Back in the day Magic was the only cat 6’9” handling the rock. Now everybody’s 6’9” handling the rock and shooting it too.

Falk has the nerve to say they aren’t playing any defense because boyz can shoot the rock from the parking lot now. That’s like saying that they no longer play defense in the NFL because they score so many points now.

It’s not that they don’t play defense anymore. It’s because there are more threats on the field/floor now. When NFL offenses are spreading the field it’s harder to defend it. When everybody on the floor can shoot and handle the rock it complicates things. Back in Jordan’s day you could only play man-to-man defense. If cats like James Harden, Klay Thompson and Steph were playing in Jordan’s day they would legitimately score 50 per night because they would have been bigger stronger and faster, more athletic and could shoot that thang from anywhere. And don’t even get me started on what LeBron would do to boyz at 6’9” 270 lbs. By the way, he’s bigger than anyone playing during Jordan’s era except for Barkley but he’s 5 inches taller than Chuck.

When only one or two cats are doing all of the scoring it’s a whole lot easier to defend that foolishness than two or three 7-footers shooting threes and handling the rock not to mention the back court that’s 6’5” shooting from downtown.

If you think Jordan would put up between 50 and 60 points today. You know absolutely nothing about the game of basketball and you sure haven’t watched it evolve over the past 25 years that’s for sure. Stop me when I start lyin’!
