SANTA MONICA — It seems as though we’ve been waiting forever for the NBA Awards to be given out because the regular season has been in the rear view mirror for months. Well playas…on Monday night they were finally announced at the NBA Awards Show. Giannis Antetokounmpo walked out of the joint with the league MVP. Luka Doncic won the Rookie of the Year and the homie Lou Williams won his third Sixth Man award.

The “Greek Freak” became only the second Bucks player in the history of the game to win the MVP. Kareem won it three times while he was in Milwaukee before dippin’ to LA. Giannis is the third youngest player to ever at 24 to win the award behind only D. Rose and LeBron. That’s some great company.  He also tied Steve Nash as the lowest drafted player ever to win it at 15th overall.

Ole boy was extremely emotional while excepting the award and rightfully so. It doesn’t get any better than MVP when it comes to individual accolades.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! He put in crazy work this season averaging 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game all while leading the Bucks to the best regular season record in the league with 60 wins. Incredible!!!

If he hadn’t won it, it would have been some furniture moving around up in this piece. He literally had the best season of any player in the league this year. Salute my brother and I’ll see you next season in these NBA streets. Stop me when I start lyin’!
