For the first time in 8 seasons the world isn’t either tuning in to hate or to love LeBron. There was no in between. However, it’s been, in my opinion, great for the NBA to have a playoffs that folks can watch without him because it forces people to pay attention to other cats that are ballin’ right now.
All season long all we’ve heard about is The Greek Freak, James Harden and KD as possibly the best players in the league. However, boyz wanted to act like Kawhi Leonard retired or something. He’s not going anywhere anytime soon. He’s healthy and ballin’ out of control. Ole boy put the Raptors on his back in Game 7 and put up 41 points to get them to the Eastern Conference Finals including hitting a buzzer beater to advance. It was NUTS!!
It’ll be great to see the Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks battle Kawhi and the Toronto Raptors. No LeBron in the Eastern Conference Finals? That’s good for the game!!! New faces, new teams and a different reason to watch this foolishness play out through mid-June. In my Kris Kross Daddy Mac voice, “I’m down like four flat tires.”
Out West we’ve got the defending NBA Champs, the Golden State Warriors, meeting the Portland Trail Blazers. It should be crazy watching the guard play in this series. The Splash Brothers verses Dame Lillard and CJ McCollum. NUTS!!! Portland is playing with a load of confidence right now and believes that they’ve got what it takes to knock these boyz off. I said believe bruh. I didn’t say that I thought that they could actually knock them off but we’ll all have to watch it play out.
No LeBron? It’s great for the league and great for the casual fan watching this foolishness. After it’s all said and done folks will be able to name more than 10 players in the NBA. Let’s ride and stop me when I start lyin’!
