MIAMI — That South Florida boy they call Edge has been selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio. The 100th season of the NFL didn’t disappoint with it’s Hall of Fame Class and former Colts running back Edgerrin James in the ride.

Along with James the 2020 Class included former Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, former Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce, former Broncos safety Steve Atwater and former Vikings/Seahawks guard Steve Hutchinson.

Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher and safety Donnie Shell had already been named in this class a month ago.

Folks in the Indianapolis market are head over heels happy about Edge being selected into the Hall of Fame because he was always a fan favorite around here.

Edge did crazy work while with the Colts. He was taken No.4 overall in the 1999 draft and put his foot down in Naptown. He was a 4-time Pro Bowler, 2-time first team All-Pro, he led the league in rushing twice (1999, 2000) and he was the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year.

James finished his career with 12,246 yards and 80 touchdowns. The man was a beast and he did it his way. It was nothing to see Edge around town at the clubs just being a regular cat that always gave boyz love. He never tried to big time you or play folks crazy. Ole boy was a real solid dude and I’m happy that he’s going into Canton doing it that way he did it.

On his Instagram page he said “Started With Gold Teeth, Ended With a Gold Jacket.” #HOF #CreateTheLifeUwant2Live

Congrats homie for making a lot of folks proud!
