Pacers get caught sleepin’ at the light as Knicks get away with a win.

INDIANAPOLIS — Marcus Morris Sr led all scorers with 28 points as the New York Knicks came into Bankers Life Fieldhouse and held the Indiana Pacers hostage beating them 92-85.

The Knicks (14-36) jumped out the ride in Indianapolis looking like a basketball team with something to prove. They went upside the Pacers (31-18) head 21-9 coming out of the gate. The Blue and Gold were shook because the Knicks are one of the worst teams in the NBA and they were man handling the Pacers in the opening period. By the end of the first quarter New York was up 23-11.

It was the lowest scoring first quarter of the season for Indiana. They shot 5-23 from the field and 0-5 from behind the arc.

The Pacers finally get their feet under them to go on a 10-2 scoring run. They eventually got within single digits after Victor Oladipo sank two free throws to make it 39-31. However, the Knicks answered with two three-pointers to go up 45-31 in a matter of seconds.

I guess the Knicks were tired of being disrespected around the league and finally got a boy sleeping on them. So when the Pacers came out flat they took advantage of it. At the break they were up 50-39.

Indiana came out of the break on a mission as they outscored New York 32-22 in the third quarter. However, the juice ran out in the fourth period as they only managed to score 14 points.

New York only had three players score in double figures as Julius Randle dropped 16 and Taj Gibson had 10 to help the cause. However, the Pacers literally had two players in double figures. First time All-Star Domantas Sabonis led Indiana with 25 points and Myles Turner dropped off 12.
