MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA winning 60 games powered by Giannis Antetokounmpo. Well playas…they looked every bit as good on Friday night as they blasted the Toronto Raptors 125-103 to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
They pulled up in a ’72 Coupe De Ville with a rag top on it bumpin’ that DJ Khalid “All I do Is Win” joint with the Greek Freak leaning in the driver’s seat like an O.G. on his way to the play the numbers. Antetokounmpo jumped out of the ride and banged on a boy early to set the tone and it was over before it ever got started.
The Bucks were up 17 points before I could even bite into my hot dog and wipe my mouth. They finished the first quarter up 35-21 and never looked back. After the first period alone they were shooting 41 percent from behind the arc and 56 percent from the field. That’s NUTS!!! It was 64-39 at the break with Big Momma looking for her keys to the Coupe De Ville.
Gianni finished the night with 30 points and 17 rebounds. Ersan Ilyasova dropped off 17 as Nikola Mirotic hit them up for 15. Chris Middleton came through with a solid 12 for good measure.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I thought that Toronto had a shot to win this series before it got started but now I can see very quickly that they don’t have the depth to run with these big dawgs. They literally need to pull over on the porch and watch these boyz run.
Besides Kawhi putting up crazy numbers every night who else is going to be consistent? Kyle Lowry isn’t ready for this level EVERY night. Sure, he scored 15 points in Game 2 but he’s got to drop off 27 to 33 points err-night to give these cats a fighting chance along with Kawhi giving them 30 plus. Then the rest of the supporting cast has to come through too EVERY night. That’s not going to happen and especially not now that they’re down 2-0. It’s a wrap.
The way the Bucks are playing right now Toronto may not win a game in this series. Skip the preliminaries and send them the Eastern Conference Championship trophy today and tell Toronto that it was nice doing business with you. The same goes for Golden State.
Let both the Warriors and Bucks rest for about two days and let’s get these Finals crackin’. These conference finals have been a complete disaster. Neither Portland nor Toronto realized that this was a Grown Man’s Game when they reached the conference finals. Now they do but it’s way too late to get themselves together. They’ve been carjacked in the middle of the street and all they’ve got is the front seat left. Stop me when I start lyin’!
