OAKLAND — After toying with Portland in Game 1 and literally sprinting through them. The Golden State Warriors knew that they would be in for a battle in Game 2 on Thursday night. Dame Lillard and Co. wasn’t about to just lay down and give up their sneakers and jewelry that easily.

Well playas…they fought to the death but still came up short 114-111 in a thriller at the Oracle. Portland jumped out of the ride and literally went to work on Golden State in the first half getting to the break up 65-50. They shot the lights out of the gym hitting 50 percent of their threes knocking down 11 of 22 of them. They shot 49 percent from the field as Golden State struggled from behind the arc shooting a miserable 23 percent only making 3-13.

However, Steph Curry was on fire scoring 19 of his 37 in the first half. CJ McCollum had 16 of his 22 points while Dame Lillard scored 10 of his 23.

Golden State looked like they were in trouble as Portland’s confidence was on 10. That means over the top for all of you cats that can’t follow.

Coming out of the break the Trail Blazers scored the first three points. Then Golden State went on a 13-0 run that left Portland shook. The ball movement of the Warriors was NUTS and with everybody on the floor having the ability to create their own shot, it was darn near impossible to defend.

Portland looked like they’d been hit and run on the freeway as Steve Kerr’s squad turned up the volume.

At the 3:42 mark of the third quarter Klay Thompson knocked down a three to take the lead 77-74. It was a Battle Royale for the rest of the third period as they ended the quarter all knotted up at 89.

The Splash Brothers Steph and Klay had 30 and 22 points respectively, Portland continued to fight back as they went up 102-96 with 6 minutes left. However, the Warriors kept dropping buckets to stay in it.

Portland’s Seth Curry was playing crazy defense as he ripped boyz, stayed in their faces and kept cats uncomfortable. However, playing against his brother made the job even more difficult because there was no stopping Steph Curry once he settled down. There’s no stopping him from pulling up from behind the arc even if he’s being double to triple teamed.

Ole boy went up for the three-point attempt and got fouled. He got to the line and hit all 3 free throws to put the Warriors up 110-108 with 1:55 left. Then Seth came down and drained the three to put the Trail Blazers up 111-110 with a minute left.

Draymond hit Looney with the alley-oop to regain the lead 112-111 with 52.9 seconds left.

With less than 30 seconds left Steph was drawing crazy attention and boyz forgot to account for Draymond hiding in the bushes. Curry threw the dime as Green scores to make it 114-111 with 12 seconds left.

With everybody and their baby’s momma knowing that Dame Dollar is about to take the shot Andre’ Iguodala rips him before he could even attempt it to end it. Portland has OFFICIALLY blown their wad as they go down 0-2 heading back to the crib. Stop me when I start lyin’!
