Led by Brogdon’s 26-points Pacers rally down the stretch to knock off the Spurs!

SAN ANTONIO — After blowing a 15-point lead late in the third quarter. The Indiana Pacers regained their composure by eating in the paint to get out of the joint with a 116-111 victory. Even though the Spurs were without their bigs LaMarcus Aldridge and Jakob Poeltl it was war walking out with their four straight win.

They’re now tied for fifth-place with the Philadelphia 76ers in the East.

Even though the Spurs have dropped 8 of their last 11 games they’re still holding on to the 8th spot in the West. That’s rare air for Gregg Popovich and Company.

The Spurs jumped out of the ride and went on a 10-0 run to start the game. They seemed to be in a zone early as the Pacers didn’t take their first lead until the 6:41 mark of the second quarter on a Malcolm Brogdon reverse layup to put the Pacers up 48-46.

Indiana played without Victor Oladipo who was out with swelling in his right knee that occurred after the team’s morning workout. There is no timeline on how long he’ll be out. However, boyz stepped up big without him after blowing a 15-point lead.

Led by Malcolm Brogdon’s 26 points followed by TJ Warren’s 23 the Pacers were in good hands like Allstate. In all, six Indiana players finished in double figures.

Myles Turner came through with 17 points as the double-double machine, Domantas Sabonis, had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Doug McDermott added another 14 off of the bench knocking down four 3-pointers in the process. Justin Holiday closed out the double figure scoring with 11 points.

Indiana doesn’t have much time to think about Monday’s game because they’ll be looking at the Greek Freak and Co. on Wednesday night in Milwaukee.
