Why hood cats that hate on LeBron just don’t get it bruh! “Oakey Doke”

"Y'all with me or what bruh?"

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.” Robert F. Kennedy broke it down like a G at ghetto cookout when he said, “Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total, of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.” Then Winston Churchill broke it down so that it would forever be broken when he spit, “History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.”

Well playas…LeBron James feels the same way about history bein’ kind to him because he’s writin’ the heck out of it right now. And that’s the edited version! Ole boy has taken a team that has been in the lottery since he left the joint in 2010 back to the Finals in his first year back. It’s only the 2nd Finals appearance in the history of the freakin’ franchise and they’ve both come with LeBron drivin’ the bus. He took some bums there in 2007 when he was in my Montell Jordan voice, “a lower case G.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! What this cat is doin’ is nothin’ short of remarkable. If you’re gonna hate then hate but please explain to me why? You’ve sat and watched a boy make 5 consecutive trips to the Finals bruh! Unless you’re 70 plus and were watchin’ Bill Russell (11 titles) and freakin’ Bob Cousey (8 titles) you’ve never seen this before. They are the only other two cats in the history of the game to do it and make the All-Star Game the same year. Stop and give this dun his props. Do you know how difficult that is to do?

What blows my mind are the number of cats that will find everything wrong with this cat but will say that they’re tired of these pro athletes gettin’ in trouble. It’s even more disturbin’ to see brothers from the hood hatin’ on him because he’s drawin’ the blueprint for a boy to be successful comin’ out of the ghetto. I can understand a white cat from the suburbs or rural America not bein’ able to identify with the struggles of bein’ black and poor in America. But cats that grew up in his same circumstance hatin’ on a boy that essentially represents them is unbelievable to me.

I could care less who your favorite team is playa or even who your favorite player is. When you see a boy come from the bottom just like you did that’s never been in trouble a day of his professional career, have the level of success that he has and you can’t appreciate that somethin’ is wrong with you. LeBron has been in the league for 12 years and the only reason he’s EVER been in the news is because of basketball.

But you love cats that beat their wives and girlfriends! You love cats that beat their own children! You adore the dun that gets caught ridin’ dirty! You find no fault in a man that was accused of rapin’ somebody’s baby girl regardless of whether his was found guilty or not he did enough to be charged. That means that he at least slept with a woman that wasn’t his wife. You love cats that defy authority and only show up so that they don’t get fined. But you will hate a cat that comes from your hood that’s done absolutely nothin’ but play the game that he’s been blessed to play at the highest level imaginable because he ain’t hood enough for you.

Well, what is hood enough playa? LeBron grew up just as poor as everybody else in the ghetto. His momma was everywhere but at home raisin’ him. That’s why he went from pillow to post stayin’ with this coach or that coach, this friend or that friend his entire childhood. So if nothin’ else boyz that can identify with his struggle should be the first to celebrate when he celebrates but they don’t. Why? Because they’re haters that never really want to leave the ghetto even if they’ve already left. The mental chains of the hood will always keep some of these cats locked up and drawn to ignorance.

They love the foolishness that they get from the clowns that keep poppin’ up on Roger Goodell’s desk or the Donald Sterling’s desk or to keep it 100, the prosecutor’s desk. They’d rather mimic their lives after some fool that makes bad decisions than to pay attention to a dun livin’ in the world of social media that has never been linked to any foolishness on or off of the court.

This ain’t about basketball this morin’ playa! This is about payin’ attention to duns that have figured out how to do things the right way; how to succeed at the highest level of their profession and stay out of trouble. All over the ghetto this mornin’ we’ve got single women sendin’ kids to school that don’t appreciate what LeBron means to kids from single parent homes. These baby mommas out here should be encouragin’ their kids to pay attention to LeBron not because he took the Cavs to the Finals bruh but because he took the Cavs to the Finals after bein’ a neglected kid from the ghetto.

If he can take his talents to the NBA you should be able to take your talents to whatever profession you decide to choose and stay out of trouble. Don’t gravitate toward fools that wanna be ignorant for the sake of bein’ ignorant and don’t fall for the Oaky Doke when a boy wants you to believe that’s he’s something that he’s not just to gain some street credibility like Kobe did after the rape case. This dun went out and got a jailhouse tattoo, stuck it on his arm and boyz never said a word. What kind of cat that’s a multimillionaire goes out and gets a joint that looks like somebody drew it on in prison? That’s the type of foolishness that boyz are drawn to and want to represent even when they aren’t from the ghetto.

Pay attention to the bigger picture playboy! Bein’ great is about doin’ what you do best at the highest level and keepin’ the foolishness out of the ride. LeBron has done that and you’ve gotta give props where props are due. Stop me when I start lyin’!
