The stage is set: No.1 Alabama did what Bama does! No.4 Ohio State completely shut Dabo up by dragging Clemson! “All of the Marbles”

Well playas…the College Football Playoff National Championship Game is set in Miami on Monday January 11. No.1 Alabama will meet No.4 Ohio State and boy it should be good. Bama did what Bama does as they pulled up on No.4 Notre Dame and beat the brakes, doors, transmission and back seats off of the Fightin’ Irish 31-14. The score was not indicative of the beating Notre Dame took. They scored late to make it look respectable.

That isn’t a knock at Notre Dame at all. Alabama is simply on an entirely different level than everyone else. They’ve got weapons all over the field on both sides of the ball. Anybody that would have lined up against the Tide would have gotten the same thing on Friday afternoon.

No.3 Ohio State came through the Sugar Bowl and straight body slammed ole Dabo Swinney and Co. 49-28 in an old fashioned butt whooping that Dabo clearly deserved.

I was through with Dabo when he said in response to Colin Kaepernick kneeling in 2016 that if he doesn’t like this country he should leave. However, he always talking about God, family and loving his players. If you truly love your players and God how can you make a statement like that when the man is telling the world that he’s kneeling in protest of police brutality, racial and social injustice?

Not when 75 to 80 percent of the players on your team look and feel the same way Kaepernick looks and feels about it. Yessir!! I truly enjoyed Clemson getting drug on Friday night.

Now the stage it set with the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes squaring off for all of the marbles. I will say that I was completely surprised by how well Ohio State played. Justin Fields showed up and showed out like the old timers used to say. He put up 385 yards and scored 6 touchdowns just to make sure Dabo understood that the better team won even if he’d only ranked the Buckeyes 11th in the coaches poll.

Ohio State changed the game and outlook of the National Championship with their performance. If they play as well as they did in the Sugar Bowl it’s going to be a great game. In my Bart Scott voice, “Can’t Wait!”
