The NBA Playoffs in the BUBBLE takes all advantages away from the higher seeds! “You, Them and The Round Ball Playa”

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. AKA THE BUBBLE — One thing is for sure and two is for certain. The NBA Playoffs inside of The Bubble is as sterile of an environment as you’ll ever see and I’m not talking about being COVID-19 free either. I’m talking about free of home court advantage.

Teams have played their butts off all season to secure home court advantage in the playoffs and now because everybody’s playing inside of the bubble there is no home court advantage. Therefore, the 2020 NBA Playoffs may become the most exciting playoffs we’ve ever seen because NOBODY has an advantage over the next team.

We’ve already seen the eight seeded Magic blast the Bucks! We’ve watched the Trail Blazers get loose on the Lakers and Dallas tied the series up with the Clippers. They literally could be up 2-0 if not for the Porzingis bogus ejection in Game 1. All games that would have been played on the higher seeded team’s home floor that would have at least been an advantage to those teams are not because of the bubble.

Putting the home team’s logo on the floor and showing virtual fans isn’t an advantage at all for teams. It’s still a neutral environment and now boyz have to show up and play off of adrenaline, talent, and the sure will, to win in the playoffs. That makes it all the more interesting.

Both the Lakers and the Bucks find themselves down 0-1 to 8th seeds looking to gain even more confidence tonight with another win to go up 2-0. If nothing else the bubble has given us something to watch that we’ve never seen before and that’s pure basketball at it’s finest. The best TEAM will have to win now. No question about it.

People take for granted how much of a difference fans and home court play a role in sports but they most certainly do. No Laker Girls, no Jack Nicholson and other celebs sitting court side in LA. No roar of the crowd and fans going crazy when a cat hits a jumper to completely change the momentum of the game.

No family and friends at the game to show out in front of. No getting hyped because you’re, well…at the crib sleeping in your own bed with all of your familiar routines. None of that playa. It’s just you, them and the basketball. That’s it. Who’s going to come out of this thing on top? Stop me when I start lyin’!
