INDIANAPOLIS —  When Victor Oladipo went down last season the Indiana Pacers didn’t have enough shooters to keep the ship afloat when they needed too. So this offseason they were aggressive in getting fire power to go along with some young talent. On Monday night that combination came together like Big Momma’s Thanksgiving dinner! Fiyahhh!!!

The Pacers jumped out of the Big Body Chevy and went to work on the Memphis Grizzlies scoring a season best in points as they won 126-114.

TJ Warren was the first out of the ride coming out of the driver seat scoring 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting. After the game Warren had this to say, “I just want to stay aggressive when I’m out there. We have a lot of potential. We’re clicking right now, so we just have to keep it up and get ready for the next one.”

Ole boy was not playing with these boyz!!! He was the catalyst for the rest of the team on Monday night. Jeremy Lamb dropped off 19 points, Aaron Holdiy came off of the bench with 16, Malcolm Brogdon had 14 just to keep them honest. Domantas Sabonis did what he always does as he came through Big Momma’s house with a solid double-double. He had 13 points and 13 rebounds as TJ McConnell put 11 in the hat.

Indiana shot 54 percent from both the field and from three point range. That’s NUTS!!!! They also dropped off a season high 18 3-pointers which is one shy of a franchise record.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The Pacers are purring like a kitten right now with shooters on the roof like the Carter.  When Victor Oladipo comes back this team is going to be crazy with offensive fire power. They’ve got cats that can light it up. In my Bart Scott voice, “Can’t Wait!”

On Monday night not only were they able to shoot the ball but they moved it extremely well finishing with 29 assists as a team. That’s NUTS!!!

During the post-game interview Pacers coach Nate McMillan had this to say, “I thought we did a good job of executing, getting out and pushing the ball. We had 29 assists, so we had good ball movement. But we were trading baskets. We gave up 62 points in the paint and that’s way too many points.”

Yeah they weren’t playing the greatest of defense but ole Nate will take the “W” anyway. There are still some things that they need to work on but winning makes it easier to deal with. They’ve won three straight and 7 or their last 9 games. Not bad right? It’s going to be a fun season and it’s just getting started. Up next the Pacers host Utah on Wednesday.
