Now that Minnesota and Baylor has gotten out of the way the Top 4 makes sense!

I’ve always said that the College Football Playoff rankings are fluid and that they change every week based on who keeps winning. This thing is about who DESERVES to be ranked in the top 4 not who we think should be in the Top 4 when the season is over. So many times folks are ranking teams based off of reputation and not the basic criteria like wins and losses, strength of schedule etc.

That’s why for the past several weeks I’ve been saying that both Minnesota and Baylor SHOULD have been ranked No.’s 4 and 5 because they were still undefeated playing in Power 5 conferences, Big 10 and 12 respectively. If we’re doing this thing fairly you couldn’t put teams with loses ahead of them at the time.

They finally wet the bed this past weekend so now they’re out. Minnesota took the “L” at Iowa 23-19 and Baylor completely wet the bed at home against Oklahoma in a 34-31 thriller. They were up 25 points and loss. So now we don’t have to ever hear about either of them the rest of the season.

Therefore, Top 4 for Week 13 should be No.1 LSU (10-0), No.2 Ohio State (10-0), No.3 Clemson (11-0) and No.4 Georgia (9-1). That only makes sense. The undefeated teams playing in Power 5 conferences should be ranked ahead of everyone else. You can’t have one loss teams ahead of undefeated teams because you think they’re better.

The AP Poll still has Alabama sitting at No.5 because they all keep trying their best to push the Bama narrative when they’ve only played one game all season. It blows my mind every week. However, we’ll just sit in the cut to see how it’ll all play out. Stop me when I start lyin’!
