NBA makes the best decision by suspending the season. “JUST CHILL OUT”

After Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for the Coronavirus the NBA postponed the Utah/OKC game just before tip off Wednesday night. Then shortly after 9:30 pm the NBA released a statement, “The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of [Wednesday’s] schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.”

And there it was. The NBA is shut down indefinitely. However, it only makes sense. The NCAA announced earlier Wednesday that they would proceed with it’s March Madness Tournament but without fans. Makes sense to me playa. I’m not trippin’ if they cancel it altogether. It’s a freakin’ public health emergency for cryin’ out loud.

As a matter of fact, they didn’t have to tell me what to do. I was scheduled to cover the Indiana Pacers versus Boston Celtics game on Tuesday and then the Big Ten Tournament starting Wednesday and I decided that it made no sense to show up. I could watch it on television. I could get all of the information I needed from my couch.

Even though media is permitted to cover these games, what’s the point? They’ll be on television and the locker room access had been stripped away. Naw playa…I’m cool.

I just think that it’s best for everybody to go somewhere and chill out until the weather breaks and this thing can pass. The more folks are hanging out the longer it’s going to take for it to pass. Then at some point next year they’ll have a vaccine for it but right now it’s best to be cautious. Stop me when I start lyin’!
