NBA fans are finally beginning to understand that they don’t own the player! “So who’s the fool”

Back in the summer of 2010 LeBron told the world that he was “Taking his talents to South Beach” and the world turned on him. Folks were in the streets burning his jersey and acting like the man owed them something. A few years later they acted the same fool on Kevin Durant when he left OKC to go to Golden State. Paul George even told Indiana a year in advance that he wasn’t going to re-sign in summer of 2018 when his contract was to expire and they still acted fool on him burning his jersey and screaming foul play.

Fast forward to July 2019 and fans have finally figured out that they don’t own these players. They can play wherever they want to play. It’s called business and more often than not they’ve got all of the power, especially when they’ve got GUARANTEED contracts.

Over the past two years in the NBA cats like Anthony Davis, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have demanded trades and their respective teams have had no choice but to let them go. What Kawhi and PG did over this past weekend was probably the biggest power move we’ve seen in the NBA in decades. Like my cousin Lovell Cox said in a text to me yesterday, “Kawhi stopped the Lakers hopes of a dynasty, put OKC on the path for a rebuild, ended any thought of a Toronto repeat and made the Clippers legit.”

That’s the power that superstars moving at the right time in this league has. I’m just glad that players understand their value and most importantly, these fans know that there is not a thing they can do about it.

Oh yeah and burning the freakin’ jersey that they bought with their own money was beyond stupid. They’re out of a jersey and the bread that they spent on it. And guess what playa? The superstar that you’re on social media cursing out never sees your rage and doesn’t care one bit about how you feel because they got what they wanted and the bread that comes along with it. So who’s the fool?

We didn’t see many reports of fans in the streets burning Kawhi or Paul George’s jersey this time.

I’m just glad that the fans have come to accept the fact that they don’t own these guys and that they look more like the fool being upset when a players leaves. Stop me when I start lyin’!
