Michigan finally gets Ohio State, Bama survives and Oklahoma State potentially creates havoc. “Chaos Lurking”

Saving the best for last was literally an understatement this past college football weekend. It was Rivalry Week and everybody showed up and showed out. THE GAME was everything we’d all hoped it would be with No.5 Michigan beating their arch rival No.2 Ohio State 42-27 in a thriller at the Big House.

It took No.3 Alabama 4 OT’s to get out of Auburn alive with a 24-22 victory to avoid a second loss and falling out of the Top 4 this upcoming week.

Then No.10 Oklahoma State finally found the courage to knock off No.7 Oklahoma in the Bedlam Series 37-33 in Stillwater. OU now leads the series 90-19-7. For the record this isn’t even close to being a rivalry.

Everyone of these games had folks taking blood pressure meds after they were over. Talk about some good football games!!!! Boy!!!!

So let’s get down to the nitty gritty. With Ohio State going down to the boys in Blue. The Wolverines have to move up into the Top 4 this week. It would be outrageous if they weren’t sitting in the cat bird seat come Tuesday.

Cincinnati should move up to No.2 although I disagree wholeheartedly with them being in the Top 4 playing that garbage schedule. They’ve played one game all season at Notre Dame and now they’re in the ride with the big boyz. I’ll just say this, be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.

At this point the Top 4 should be 1) Georgia 2) Cincinnati 3) Alabama 4) Michigan. Again, the only reason Cincinnati is there is because the committee put them there several weeks ago. So I’ll leave them there.

However, on some real talk, I think Oklahoma State beating OU puts them in a great position to move up next week playing in the Big 12 title game against No.8 Baylor. If they can knock off both OU and Baylor in consecutive weeks. Their strength of schedule pushes Cincinnati out of the ride completely. Just my opinion.

We already know that the committee is trying their best to put both Georgia and Alabama in the Playoff. If Georgia barely beats Bama they both get in. I definitely don’t agree but you know that’s what they’re trying to do. If Bama beats Georgia they won’t eliminate Georgia with one loss and they’ve been No.1 all season. Not going to happen.

We all have to hope Bama gets their doors blown off in the SEC Title game for order to be restored to have some fairness here. Otherwise, the committee is looking to make this the SEC Invitation again. Lord knows we don’t want to see that. Stop me when I start lyin’!
