INDIANAPOLIS — Lawrence Central pulled up in the rag top Coupe De Ville sittin’ on some thangs as they got loose on Warren Central 63-49. Dre’ Davis led the Bears with 20 points followed by Nijel Pack with 16.

Warren Central got out the ride and went on a 5-0 run as LC turned the rock over on it’s first few possessions. Tae Davis finally got Lawrence Central on the board with a jumper to make it 5-2. Warren was the more aggressive team out of the gate but LC tightened up their laces with Javien Bigbee and Tae Davis’ monster dunks. They had back-to-back slams that helped the Bears take their first lead 10-9 at the 3:05 mark of the first quarter. Nijel Pack and Co. rallied to end the first period up 16-15.

Lawrence Central jumped out of the whip to start the second quarter going on a 9-0 run as Dre’ Davis got warmed up. By the time I bit into my hot dog, they had gone on a 12-2 run extending their lead to 28-18 with everybody eating.

Warren had way too many wasted possessions as LC kept digging in. As hot as Lawrence Central was in the second quarter Warren managed to keep it to within 8 points with Lawrence Central only up 32-24 at the break.

Coming out of the break LC went nuts as they went up 43-26 before boyz could blink. They had gone on a 11-2 run without breaking a sweat.
With cats like Jasen Graves shootin’ that thang along with Nijel Pack and Dre’ Davis gettin’ loose it was a hard way to go as Lawrence Central ran away with this one.

There was one bright spot for the Warrior though. Malik Stanley is as good as advertised as he led all scorers with 25 points.
