OAKL:AND — Kawhi Leonard told the San Antonio Spurs to kick rocks last season when they didn’t believe that he was hurt. He was so adamant about his decision not to play and further injure himself that he bounced during the season to rehab in New York. They eventually traded him to Toronto and the rest is history.
On Thursday night he took them to the promised land in Oakland on the final night that Oracle Arena would be open after 47 years. His Raptors knocked off the duns that had won the NBA title three out of the last 5 seasons. The back-to-back champs had to kneel down to a new king after a thrilling Game 6, 114-110 victory.
You can know start calling Kawhi, Prince Akeem because he’ll never even have to bathe himself again. They’ll be throwing rose pedals on the floor wherever he walks and folks will be saying “Whatever you like” every time he asks them what they like. Oh yeah duns will be barking like dogs for some reason too.
Ole boy would be out of his mind to leave Toronto now. He’s an unrestricted free agent next month but why on earth would he consider leaving now? He’s the King of the North. There’s only one team in Canada and he’s the freakin’ man!!!
No way would I leave that type of living. He’ll never pay for another meal for as long as he lives. Some fool will probably even pay his darn mortgage just to keep him around after he retires. I know that Canada is known for hockey but Toronto is a basketball city now and everybody in the country is on board with the Raptors because it’s the only hoop team in the NBA that resides outside of the US and it’s in Canada. The NBA has to be on cloud nine right now because they’ve just added 37 million new fans. Unbelievable!!!!!
Can you image how sick the San Antonio Spurs have to be right now? They’re somewhere in a cold, out of the way bar, butt naked from drinking all night, blaming each other about trading Kawhi. They’ve been fighting all night in the alley behind the joint and now they’re just sitting at a corner table looking crazy. The King of the North is going to have everybody in Canada rocking 6 to the back for the next 40 years. Stop me when I start lyin’!
