It’s IRRESPONSIBLE to even attempt to play football or basketball at ANY level at this point! That includes youth sports too.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is on the mend after being diagnosed with the Coronavirus 10 days ago. Wednesday he said that he was back to feeling “normal” but he hasn’t been cleared by the doctors to workout.

Speaking on a Twitch feed the 3-time Pro Bowler has this to say, “I just feel like there’s a lot of moving parts that have to be figured out. I just don’t know how they can keep the players [healthy]. You gotta put the health of the players first.

He goes on to say, “And it’s not even so much, I would say, the players’ health — because I got corona, and it really didn’t affect me much. But a lot of people have kids — they may have kids with asthma; they may have newborn babies; their parents or grandparents may live with them. … We have to find ways to make sure that players and their families — and the coaches also and their families — aren’t put at risk.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I know that everybody and their baby’s momma wants to see both the NFL and NBA make a come back this season but it ain’t gonna happen playa. You can throw college football and basketball into the mix as well.

Since we’re in the pool let’s dive into the deep end as well. If you’ve got kids playing youth sports and they’re playing football or basketball right now it’s irresponsible. There is no way that you can play a contact sport like football or a semi-contact sport like basketball and keep the virus from running rampant.

Players are breathing on top of each other the entire game or practices. It’s impossible to play those sports with masks on. If the recommended guidelines are for people to remain 6-feet apart and to wear a mask. How does any of this even make sense? The virus doesn’t call a timeout for the players and is then re-activated with the horn sounds to end the game. This is real playa.

If players like Zeke or hoopers like Malcolm Brodgon and other are getting the virus just doing normal everyday activities. How on earth are you going to convince folks that players bumping into each other on purpose and breathing hard on top of each other will keep the virus from spreading?

Listen to logic people are trying to give you about keeping the virus from spreading. We’re not going to have fans just sitting next to each other talking and yelling because that’s dangerous. However, we ARE going to have athletes tackling and blocking one another breathing on top of each other because that’s safe. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!!

I keep hearing about folks cleaning the benches and facilities after the games before the next game starts to cut down on the risk of spreading the virus. However, nobody in the next game is socially distancing or wearing a mask. Oh, they’re checking everyone’s temperature before they come into the building. Listen to the logic. At what point does any of that make sense?

We’re already seeing a rise in positive cases all over the country from people just not wearing a mask and hanging out at beaches and night clubs or simply walking around with no mask. So if the spread of the virus is rising just doing normal activities why would you not think that if people are excessively breathing on each other will not exacerbate the situation?

I know that it’s financially lucrative for owners, players and teams to play but it’s dangerous from a health perspective to even attempt this foolishness. It’s down right irresponsible. Stop me when I start lyin’!
