THE FAR EAST SIDE — Well playas…it’s finally here!!! Happy High School Football Season!!!! It all kicks off on Friday night and there are two teams in the M.I.C. that aren’t playing around Week 1. No.2 Center Grove and No.3 Warren Central aren’t looking for cupcakes, lightweights or pushovers to run through as the season starts. They both are standing around the fire hydrant waiting for a boy to make a move.

They’re going into conference play right out of the gate! Center Grove comes in with a gang of talent and 13 returning starters including the “War Horse,” Carson Steele, one of the best running backs in the country and he’s only a junior!!! Ole boy comes in after literally destroying the M.I.C. for the past two years and he’s ready for more.

Steele put up 2,270 yards as a sophomore averaging 174 yards per game after putting up 1,700 yards as a freshman in the best conference in the state. Now he’s ready to gallop as a junior and I’ve got front row seats.

Warren Central, on the other hand, are coming off of a perfect 15-0 season where they literally beat the brakes off of everybody and their Uncle LeRoy and cousin Man-Man to win the Class 6A State Title. They lost 40 seniors and are now looking for new cats to step up. They’ve only got about 4 or 5 returning starters but it’s Warren Central. They don’t rebuild they just reload.

It’s more talent walking the halls of that school than most cities can ever dream of. Their motto this season is “Brand New Team! Same Dream!” Don’t think for one minute that because the three headed monster formally known as DubZilla has gone on to bigger and better things that they aren’t going to be good enough to take some lunch money in 2019.

Oh yeah playa, the FAR EAST SIDE will be the place to be on Friday night! Crazy talented experience from Greenwood coming in to test the talented inexperience of a powerhouse program on the FAR EAST SIDE. Will the War Horse run wild or will the Warriors be able to contain him enough to get out of the joint with a win? Will new Warren running back Randy Wells be able to fill the huge shoes of Romeir Elliott? Will the brand new team with the same dream even look like they’re sleeping on the same side of the bed as DubZilla? Will Center Grove build on the 9-4 record they posted in 2018 and be ready to compete for a state title this year?

Well playas…all of those questions will be answered on Friday night WEEK 1. So you better be in the building because I sure will! It’s time to Boot Up!!! Stay tuned for my predictions throughout the M.I.C with The HILARIOUS M.I.C. Football Preview Week 1 on Thursday night! Stop me when I start lyin’!
