Carmelo Anthony is still waiting on a team to sign him so that he can get his farewell tour this year but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. For some reason Royce White, the former first round pick of the Houston Rockets who is now playing in Ice Cube’s Big 3 League went NUTS on LeBron about it while speaking to Fanatics View.
“All of us here that played the game at the highest level know how good Melo is, and we know that there’s no way that the Lakers would go out and sign Jared Dudley and not sign Carmelo Anthony. And another question is, while a guy like LeBron is walking around here like he’s the face and voice of the players, how is he letting his banana-boat brother hang out there in the wings? And they go sign Jared Dudley and not Carmelo? If anybody watching this thinks that Jared Dudley can hold Carmelo’s jockstrap, I’ll slap him.”
Okay playa…let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! How are you blasting Jarred Dudley’s ability to play the game when he’s still in the league and you’re already out of the league playing in the Big 3? Let’s start there. Dudley is still cashing NBA checks and you’re cashing Big 3 checks. He played three more game than I did in the NBA. Ain’t this the cat that was scared to fly and wouldn’t play because he couldn’t take the bus? Who put the mic in his face and why is he important enough to quote?
Secondly, it’s not LeBron’s job to get Melo a roster spot at this point. And everybody knows that LeBron is the worse GM known to man!!! Boyz have had enough of LeBron putting teams together with his homies. It’s time for the GM working with LeBron to start doing his job. So to say that he is responsible for getting Melo a job is ridiculous.
Again, why are you pushing for Melo to get a job when you don’t have one? Where are you from where does that makes sense? You want another man to eat before you do? C’mon bruh and why do you even care? Melo isn’t missing any meals. He’s loaded!!!
Melo not getting picked up has nothing to do with his ability to play the game. It’s obvious that nobody wants him on their team for whatever reason. We all know that he can still play and can help somebody’s team with his ability to shoot the ball. However, there’s something there that nobody’s willing to admit.
There’s a reason why cats like Juwan Howard hung around the league for years cashing check without even having to put on gym shoes or take a shower after the games. He was a great teammate that coaches wanted in the locker room to help guide their young talent. He was a calming influence that understood the game and he was like a player’s coach that never played. There was value in having him on the roster.
It’s apparent that nobody sees value in having Melo on their roster. That means that he needs to pack it up and keep it moving. Nobody is obligated to sign him. Like the old timers used to say, “This is their stuff” and that’s the edited version. Stop me when I start lyin’!
