Why Deion Sanders taking over at JSU is a game changer and a BIG TIME cultural shift! “Flood Gates”

In a climate in America when it’s finally okay to say that “Black Lives Matter” we’re starting to see a shift in thinking. We’re seeing a progressive shift and that’s a good thing. We’re living in a time where speaking up for equal rights and justice for black people is at an all-time high. Sure, there was a huge movement in the 1950’s and 60’s called the Civil Rights Movement but major corporations weren’t endorsing its message at the time. The death of George Floyd has ignited a flame in this country that we’ve never seen before.

It’s no longer cool for Fortune 500 companies to close their eyes to the foolishness of police brutality, racial and social injustice. Everybody has been put on notice that now is the time to be better and to do better.

Both the NFL and the NBA has taken the bull by the horns and are using their platforms to evoke change. The players are speaking out and using their platforms to change America’s thinking too.

Well playas…Deion Sanders has taken it a step further. Instead of being comfortable with his 100 acres and a mule like he said during his press conference on Monday. He’s dove into the pool head first to take his talents to Jackson, Mississippi to become the next head football coach at Jackson State University.

And you already know that when Prime Time shows up he brings the show with him. He rode in like the King of Egypt with the Sonic Boom of the South leading the way.

He’s on a quest to bring the black college back to prominence in the world of college football by using his influence and expertise to build a powerhouse at one of our beloved historically black colleges and universities.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This is a game changer for HBCU’s across the country not just for JSU. There is a push for black folks to support each other more than ever before right now. Deion is just the tip of the iceberg. He has the fame and the charisma to attract the necessary talent to turn the JSU program around by recruiting talent that they haven’t had in Jackson sent the great Walter Payton walked the yard.

Sure, it’s not going to be easy but with the help of all of us we can make it happen. There was a time when all of the best NFL prospects came out of HBCU’s because they weren’t allowed to play at the predominantly white institutions (PWI’s).

When those schools figured out that they could win with our players even if they didn’t want them on campus they opened the flood gates for them. The HBCU’s suffered the blow. Now it’s time to encourage our kids to go play for guys like Deion Sanders. If he can make the sacrifice initially they can too.

He won’t get the 4 and 5 star guys right away because it’s hard to compete with the big schools and the multi-million dollar facilities they have but give it some time. Winning breeds money and money builds stadiums, weight rooms and massive facilities. Winning also lands big time recruits!!!

Kids all over the country would love to play for the best cover corner to ever play the game. Not to mention he’s a two-time Super Bowl Champion and he’s well…Primetime in the flesh. Jackson State struck gold by even getting him to commit to them. Now everybody has to support the vision.

All it takes is for kids to see what’s happening in Jackson and the flood gates will open. Again, it’s an up hill battle with facilities needing to be upgraded but Deion has the charisma and the connections to get it done. He wouldn’t have taken the job if he didn’t think that he could upgrade the facilities to the point where they needed to be in order to compete.

Oh it’s about to be Chris Brown up in Jackson playa! “On and Poppin’!” Not only is the student body excited but its proud alumni base is going crazy. Season tickets are about to go through the roof and if you haven’t booked your room for homecoming 2021 you might be out of luck because the FLOOD GATES ARE OPEN. JSU ROCKS THE HOUSE!!!
