Why Carsen Edwards isn’t a First-Team All-American or a First round draft pick. “Reality”

Now that the 2019 College Basketball Consensus All-American team has come out boyz around this piece are fighting mad that Purdue’s Carsen Edwards didn’t make the First-Team selection. Just in case you didn’t see it. Here it goes. There was R.J. Barrett at the shooting guard from Duke. Ja Morant at the point from Murray State. Rui Hachimura  at the small forward from Gonzaga and Zion Williamson at power forward.

There aren’t but five positions on the floor playa! So tell me how Carsen Edwards is going to be a First-Team All-American? He plays the point but he’s not really a point because he’s a shooter and not a distributor. However, if his position is point guard that means that he’s competing against a dun named Ja Morant that is head and shoulders a better point than he is.

So again, how is he going to be a First-Team All-American? Take your emotions out of it bruh. Morant is a pure point that averaged 24 points per game and 10 assists this year. Carsen Edwards is a shooter, not a point that plays the point that averaged 24 points per game and only 3 assists this year. Again he’s not a distributor first, he’s a shooter first.

The numbers don’t lie!! Sure, he put up crazy numbers in the tournament but he’s got to play like that the entire season and run the point better than the next man in order to be considered the best point guard in the country. Sure, he lead the Big Ten in scoring but he’s wasn’t the best point guard in the country. Ja Morant was.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! He’s not even a first round draft pick bruh! He’s 5’10” and I’m pushing it.  I know that they list him at 6’1″ at Purdue but if he’s 6’1″ I’m light skinned with blond hair and green eyes bruh. And there’s nothing freakish about him but his motor. Those shots he was getting off in college he won’t get off in the NBA because he’s short.

Who’s he going to shoot over? The small guards in the league are 6’3″ and 6’4″ not 5’10”!!! He’ll be a second round pick that will probably end up in the G-league because he’s not a point guard. In order to play in a league where the average height is 6’7″ and the guards are taller now he’s got to be a freak athletically that can handle the rock like a genius and be able to distribute the ball. That’s not his skill set. He’s a short shooter. Name me a short shooter in the league? Duns like Derrick Rose, Step Curry etc. are 6’3″!!! NOT 5’10”!!! At some point y’all gone start listenin’ to me. Stop me when I start lyin’!
