On Tuesday the owner of the Alliance of American Football, Tom Dundon, put the brakes on the league just eight games into the season. He decided to suspend all operations as league co-founder Bill Polian confirmed to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. Polian issued a statement that sounded like he was literally trying to convince himself that the whole idea of the league made sense in the first place.
“I am extremely disappointed to learn Tom Dundon has decided to suspend all football operations of the Alliance of American Football. When Mr. Dundon took over, it was the belief of my co-founder, Charlie Ebersol, and myself that we would finish the season, pay our creditors, and make the necessary adjustments to move forward in a manner that made economic sense for all. The momentum generated by our players, coaches and football staff had us well positioned for future success. Regrettably, we will not have that opportunity.”

It used to be America’s pastime but it’s now become the NFL. Who’s really watching baseball these days bruh? Yeah You’ve got your diehards but there are very few casual baseball fans.
Nobody’s watching anything else and they darn sure aren’t watching some sideline professional football league during the winter months while the NBA and college basketball is going on.
Who in there right mind thought that made sense? Did we all not see the USFL and the XFL flop? The darn XFL flopped twice. I don’t care if retired NFL coaches and executives were involved. It’s still a sideline league with sideline talent played during the offseason. Nobody’s interested bruh!!!
Who’s literally paying money to see duns like Johnny Manziel play with a bunch of “has been cats” and a bunch of cats you barely even know. Who’s even watching it on television when the NBA and college basketball is on? Stop it.
It’s the NFL or nothing in this country. Nobody wants to see the G-league bruh. Stop me when I start lyin’!
