INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — Well playas…it’s that time of year again!! The NBA Draft is Thursday and everybody and their baby’s momma is sittin’ on the edge of their seats waitin’ to see what the Indiana Pacers are goin’ to do with their two draft picks. They pick 23rd in the first round and 50th in the second. I could name all of the duns that they’ve flown in here to work out by why? We have no idea who they’re goin’ to draft when it’s their turn so I say sit in the cut and watch this foolishness play out.
I’m just glad we’re not dealin’ with the circus of the Paul George fiasco that was goin’ on this time last year. We can at least dive into the draft without that type of foolishness. Now there is speculation as to whether Thaddeus Young is goin’ to decline his player option or not and join the ranks of this summer’s free agents. However, he has until June 29 to let a boy know. Will that affect how the Pacers draft? We shall see…
Here’s what we kinda know. All of the mock draft’s I’ve seen has Jacob Evans G/F from Cincinnati landin’ in Indy at the 23rd spot. Will that be the case? I have no idea! That’s why the whole mock draft thing is nonsense because nobody knows what’s goin’ to happen until it happens.
Just watch the draft and enjoy it. I will. If you think that any of these cats followin’ this foolishness closely knows any more than the next, you’re drunk and need to stay off of the weed.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! None of us is goin’ to know how the teams in the draft did until 3 or 4 years from now anyway. So unless you’re in the war rooms with these coaches, GM’s and presidents of Basketball operations grillin’ their scouts to death you don’t know.
We’re still tryin’ to figure out what last year’s first round pick is goin’ to be. T.J. Leaf can shoot the rock but he can’t play a lick of defense. Therefore, you can’t keep him on the floor. So they definitely don’t another first round project.
I’m always excited to see what changes will be made to the roster. Last year when the Pacers reported to trainin’ camp they had 9 new faces and no one knew what they were capable of pullin’ off.
Over the summer Kevin Prichard pulled off the biggest heist of the offseason by tradin’ Paul George for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. They were also talkin’ about buildin’ the team around Myles Turner and then all of a sudden Vic jumps out of the birthday cake butt naked foamin’ at the mouth and became the MAN!!!!
Yeah…it should be fun to watch and great to see how this team improves from the great run they went on in the 2017-18 season. It all starts Thursday night at 7:00pm!!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
