Victor Oladipo should leave that $3 million on the table and take his butt home. Don’t even consider playing. “It Ain’t Worth It”

Big Momma used to always say, “If a man doesn’t work he doesn’t eat.” She said it so much that I had to find out where she got it from. Well playas….2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, “For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.” Don’t ever doubt the old timers when they continue to repeat things.

Pacers guard Victor Oladipo’s remaining $3 million in salary is in limbo if he doesn’t play in the restart. According to the rules established by NBA for the restart boyz that are healthy and chose NOT to play, forfeit their remaining bread.

Therefore, if the dun doesn’t play he could be leaving $3 million on the table.

Two weeks ago Oladipo sat down with The Athletic said out of his own mouth that he was healthy but had decided not to play in the restart to ensure recovery from his quad tendon tear in January 2019.

I totally get that after sitting for four months the risk of sustaining a soft tissue injury goes up exponentially. I get it. However, the NBA is not trying to feed a boy that is healthy enough to play that won’t. Those are the rules.

Keep in mind that the Pacers said that they were cool with paying him if he doesn’t play. Now ole boy is considering playing. I wonder why?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Three million dollars is $3 million. If Vic doesn’t play and he loses that $3 million he’s still going to be fine but $3 million is $3 million. My old man would always say don’t ever take points off of the board. You’ll never know when you’re going to need them.

He returned to play 13 games for the Pacers before the season was suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak. He struggled out of the gate shooting 29 percent and averaging 10.8 points as Indiana went 1-5 in his first six games back.

However, he seemed to be turning the corner during his last five games before the stoppage. He averaged 18.6 points while shooting 47 percent from the field as the Pacers went 4-1 in those games.

Unless the NBA is going to allow the Pacers to pay him. Vic’s got a decision to make. Either lose $3 million or protect yourself long term. If I were him I’d tell the Pacers to put that $3 million in a can and keep it. I’d tell my old man that taking points off of the board in this scenario makes darn good sense.

He’ll make way more than $3 million on a crazy extension with the Pacers or someone else. It doesn’t make sense to jeopardize your career to play in a stupid restart that isn’t literally going to restart. I wouldn’t even be down there. Stop me when I start lyin’!
