These clowns burnin’ shoes today will, in 30 years, be lyin’ about how great Kaepernick was! “History Repeats Itself”

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA — Now that Nike has pulled one of the greatest power moves known to man by  announcin’ that Colin Kaepernick would be the face of their 30th Anniversary of the “Just Do It” campaign. They’ve not only pushed the NFL into a corner but they’ve got every major college football or basketball program in America with a Nike deal thinkin’ long, hard and wisely about their next move.

At this point playa…if you ride with Nike you’re in agreement that Colin Kaepernick has a right to protest police brutality, racial and social injustice. If you refuse to get in the car with them, you’re on the opposite end of that thought. The NFL just extended their agreement through 2028 with the shoe giant but there are always out-clauses to contracts but do they really want to consider that knowin’ that 70 percent of their workforce is black?

Is there a major college football or basketball program in America that would, for one minute, consider dissolvin’ their agreement with Nike right now knowin’ that 70 percent of the athletes on their revenue producin’ teams are black? Would they dare think about dippin’ away from Nike knowin’ that 70 percent of their future recruits are black? I doubt that very seriously playboy.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Everybody’s in a holdin’ pattern right now because nobody wants to do anything irrational that will destroy their ability to make money. Nike holds the “Trump Card” for lack of a better word.

They aren’t trippin’ off of older white folks burnin’ their shoes because that isn’t the demographic that they’re marketin’ to anyway. It’s young black, white and Latino folks that are the shoe heads that keep the engine at Nike purrin’ like a kitten. Not the old farts that don’t want to progress forward. Later for all of that hate and division of human beings. The younger generation wear the same gear, listen to the same music and talk the same language and they darn sure aren’t burnin’ their shoes. Not when there is a huge resale market out there for them now.

Keep in mind that these two were the most hated men in America at one time. (AP Photo)

Naw playa…these folks have lost their minds bein’ upset that Nike decided to live on the right side of history. Think about how stupid people felt after the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. started to come to fruition after his death. MLK was known as the “Outside Agitator” to most of America that hated the thought of him. He was the most hated man in America at one time in our history because he stood up for racial and social justice for ALL people.  Ain’t that a trip? Now he’s one of the most beloved figures in, not only American history but in world history, because he believed in the power of doin’ what was right for ALL people.

Think about how dumb folks had to feel callin’ Muhammad Ali the GREATEST OF ALL TIME later in this life after they called him every N-word in the book when he refused to go fight in the Vietnam War.  They took his World Heavy Weight Championship from him but couldn’t take away his dignity.

Yes playas…Nike is on the right side of history with Colin Kaepernick because 20, 30, 40 years from now those same fools that are burnin’ their shoes today will be callin’ him a great American hero when their old timers. They’ll be lyin’ to all of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren tellin’ them how they admired Kaepernick for standin’ up against police brutality, racial and social injustice. Just like many of these old timers are lyin’ today about how they loved MLK, Ali, Rosa Parks and others that were influential in the Civil Rights Movement that helped to change America for the better. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
