The NFL hasn’t changed its heart. It simply changed its business model. “The Blowing of the Wind”

I’ve been sitting in the cut watching and listening to the NFL literally spill it’s guts on the floor chasing the wind in whatever direction it blows. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. The National Football League and all of these fake companies that are now supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement don’t care one bit more about what’s going on with police brutality, racial and social injustice. They only care about which direction the money is flowing in right now.

George Floyd’s death was the breaking point for America and folks both black and white are fed up with the same foolishness from the police and now to be on the other side of the conversation isn’t profitable. Let’s just keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st!

Now don’t get it twisted, I’m extremely happy that the money has forced their hands but don’t tell me and other black folks in America that you suddenly care about police brutality, racial and social injustice today when a month ago guys like Colin Kaepernick were the enemy.

Don’t pee on my leg and tell me that it’s raining. The NFL is the same NFL today that it was before George Floyd was murdered in police custody. It’s still owned by a bunch of white billionaires that don’t want Colin Kaepernick or any other brother protesting police brutality, racial and social injustice on their time.

I’m just glad that the world simply said enough is enough after seeing a man’s life slowing being taken from him on camera. I hate that another black man had to be the victim of such violence for the world to finally wake up and say that’s it.

For 401 years in this country black people have been the victims of such violence and have been screaming for justice. We’ve experienced slavery, Jim Crow, the Civil Rights Movement, Redlining, voter suppression and various other forms of systemic racism all while banging on the door demanding justice.

However, it took some of our white brothers and sisters to finally say enough is enough for the NFL to acknowledge that what Colin Kaepernick was doing four years ago was the right thing.

Roger Goodell makes a silly video essentially telling the world that the NFL is woke now but never mentioned Kaepernick. Why? Because they’ve already settled out of court with him. That’s another article in and of itself that we’ve already tackled when it took place.

The wind finally started blowing in the direction of righteousness and the NFL is riding the wind for as long as it will blow. I’m cool with that but I’m not trusting it’s heart because once the wind changes direction it’ll follow it in whatever direction it goes.

Doing the right thing has nothing to do with what direction the wind is blowing. Either you’re for or against police brutality, racism and social injustice or not. Miss me with the sympathy video and coaches coming out saying that they should have kept Kaepernick like you suddenly care about the well being of the people that make up 70 percent of your league.

I would feel better if they just said, “It’s business playa it ain’t personal.” At least we could respect them for telling us the how they really feel. They haven’t changed their hearts. They simply changed their business model. Stop me when I start lyin’!
