Two legitimate reasons why the NBA shouldn’t restart the season. “The Petri Dish and the Movement”

The 30 NBA owners have already voted 29-1 and the team representatives voted 28-0 to resume the season in Orlando. The agreement to resume the season in a campus-like environment is now a risk because some players have health concerns of the additional spread of the Coronavirus and other have hesitations on becoming a distraction to the Black Lives Matter Movement that’s in full tilt right now.

Let’s start with the health crises. Most folks have forgotten that we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and it’s going to be darn near impossible to contain a bunch of young millionaires to one place for months. The Disney Complex is going to be a petri dish waiting to explode if you bring everybody to Orlando.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Every AirBnB in the Orlando area will be stocked full of ball players women/groupies that have been flown in for the late night sets and rendezvous. I’m preaching but y’all ain’t listenin’. None of which have been tested or a temperature checked. That’s a disaster waiting to happen.

That will exacerbate the situation because you know as well as I do boyz aren’t going to follow the guidelines on the health and safety that the league has issued. The season wouldn’t last a month before it gets shut down. That, in and of itself, should have been the determining factor to NOT restart the season. You’ve got to know who you’re dealing with.

Not to mention the quality of basketball is going to suck because there are more Shawn Kemp’s in the league than there are LeBron James’ of the world that will take care of their bodies. Most cats are going to show up looking a hot mess and in worse shape than they’ve ever been in.

Nobody’s in game shape so it’s going to take at least a month to just get into real up and down the floor shape. During the month that they’ve already allotted for them to get into shape will be the very time that boyz run out into traffic hollering at women they shouldn’t be hollering out after hours causing the petri dish to explode. We probably won’t see a single game if they did report.

Secondly, I agree 100 percent with the players that have expressed concern about becoming a distraction to the Black Lives Matter Movement. If 70 percent of the league is black and they all decided not to play it would be a powerful statement to make. It’s the perfect time not to play because of the aforementioned reason with the pandemic going on.

It’s an opportunity to show some unity when boyz don’t really want to play anyway. It’s the perfect time to sit out. For the first time in the history of this country real change for black folks and their equal rights is attainable because of the widespread support from all people all over the world.

If people keep this same energy at the voting booth on November 3 we can see real change. Also all local elections going forward are of the utmost importance. I believe that the influence of the movement with NBA players not playing would be even larger.

It’s a tough decision for some players to make because everybody isn’t financially secure. There are a lot of boys living paycheck to paycheck and need that bread so I get it. However, if it could happen it would be a great thing. We all will have to just sit in the cut to see how it will all play out.

Either way, the quality of basketball will be terrible with all of the things going on in the world and no team will have a home court advantage because there will be no fans in the arena.

It will be like watching those ridiculous HORSE games that ESPN was playing when the quarantine started. Stop me when I start lyin’!
