The New and Improved Aaron Henry: The grace of a gazelle and confidence of a lion!

The defendin’ State Champs, the Ben Davis Giants, took the floor for only the second time this season on Wednesday. They had Franklin Central show up to beat the brakes off of them 67-31.

However, I wasn’t as interested in the final score as I was in seein’ the improvement of the beast, Aaron Henry. The Michigan State recruit destroyed boyz on the AAU circuit last summer to actually become a Spartan signee.

Before last summer most cats didn’t have him on their radars. Mostly mid-major schools were in his back pocket but once Aaron put his foot on the pedal the big boyz came callin’.

Let’s let it real or all the way 100, whichever come 1st! He always had the DNA to play with the Big boyz but cats needed to see that next gear kick in.

“You sure you want some of this bruh?”

Now he’s playin’ with the confidence of a lion.  I simply watched him move on the floor on Wednesday night and he was like a gazelle. Smooth bruh…

He wasn’t lookin’ to score every time he got the ball. He was lookin’ to play the game the way it was supposed to be played. He involved his teammates and worked the floor like a hungry politician.

Ole boy finished the night with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 1 deflection, 3 dimes and a MONSTER dunk. Coach James pulled him at the 4:48 mark of the fourth quarter.

It was only game two for the Giants and his confidence was through the roof. Well Playa…that’s what happens when you’ve signed a full scholarship to play at a blue blood basketball program for one of the best coaches in the country.

Look for big things out of Aaron Henry this year. I think that he’ll have something to say about who’s in the runnin’ for Mr. Basketball. Yes, I know that Romeo Langford is the front runner but boyz still have to lace them up. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
