The NBA needs to change the name of the MVP Award to the MJ/LBJ Fatigue Award! “How Valuable is Giannis? Really?”

The NBA announced that Giannis Antetokounmpo has won his second straight MVP Award Friday afternoon. Everybody and their baby’s momma figured that these fake media-types would hand it over to him again because he was the best player on the team with the best record at the end of the regular season.

Does that make him the MVP? NO! It makes him the best player on the team with the best record at the end of the regular season. The League MVP stands for the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER in the National Basketball Association. If you’re not going to give it to the most valuable player in the NBA then change the name of the award.

We’ve seen this foolishness for decades. Sports writers, who many of them don’t even watch these games, get tired of the same guy being the best player in the league and vote for someone else for the sake of voting for someone else.

We saw it when Jordan was playing. He should have won the MVP at least 10 of his 16 seasons easily. LeBron in today’s game is the same. That dun could literally win it every year but the writers that are voting have LeBron fatigue just like they had Jordan fatigue.

So instead of calling it the MVP Award they should rename it the MJ/LBJ Fatigue Award NOT given annually to the best player in the league. It’s given to the dun that is the best player on the team with the best record at the end of the season even if they wet the bed in the playoffs every year.

It’s NOT given to the most VALUABLE player in the league. It’s NOT given to the most outstanding player in the league. It’s NOT given to the player that not only plays well in the regular season but has another gear in the playoffs too.

Instead they’ve given the award to a guy that has soiled the mattress in the playoffs both times he’s won the award. So how VALUABLE is he? I mean really? I’m listenin’!!!

LeBron has proven every year that he’s by far the best player in the league during not only the regular season but in the playoffs as well. However, these media types are tired of seeing him dominate the league and want to anoint the next guy.

Well playas…you can’t anoint the next guy until the current guy falls off. For LeBron to only receive 16 first place votes is asinine on so many levels. If you’re watching this game out of one eye it’s clear that he’s still the best player in this league and it ain’t even close.

He goes to multiple franchises and still plows through the league in the same fashion. Boyz said for years that the only reason he’s in the Finals every year is because he’s playing in the weaker East. Now he’s in the West plowing through them like a hot butter knife the same way he did in the East. The only reason the Lakers didn’t make the playoffs last season was because he missed 18 games with a groin injury. When he initially got hurt on Christmas Day the Lakers were two games out of first place. That was all LeBron.

So just change the name of the award and those of us that really understand the game of basketball would have no problem with Giannis walking around with the trophy. Stop me when I start lyin’!
