The Hoosiers messed up by beating No.6 Michigan State. “Now We Know They Can Win”

Romeo Langford doin' work at East Lansing to lead the Hoosiers past No,6 Michigan State.

EAST LANSING — The Indiana Hoosiers have looked God awful for seven straight game playing with no confidence or energy. Well I guess they finally got tired of boyz talking bad about them so they showed up in East Lansing and played with some heart. College GameDay was in town and the Hoosiers came through in the Big Body Chevy with the seats leaned back with a wide brim gangsta on and knocked off the Spartans 79-75 in overtime.

It’s great that they won the game but all Hoosiers fans and alumni wanted to see was a team play with some heart for once. The win was a bonus!! They’d loss seven straight because they needed to see the wizard not because they couldn’t hoop but because they had no heart. Boyz would have been cool with them losing if they didn’t have talent but when they’re losing because they’re allowing boyz to punk them that’s an entirely different situation.

So the Hoosiers jumped out of the ride and squared up with the No.6 team in the country on their home floor and went to work. In the first half they held the Spartans scoreless for darn near 7 minutes to get into the break only down by three points. Then it went crazy in the second half with 15 lead changes and three ties.

The Hoosiers were without Zach McRoberts, who was in a boot and Juwan Morgan went down with a shoulder injury in the first half. However, when you’ve got a darn lottery pick on the floor you’ve always got a chance to win the game.

Romeo Langford finally played with a sense of urgency against a real opponent as he led the Hoosiers with 19 points. Ole boy knocked down the go-ahead three pointer in overtime to spring Indiana to the win. They had five players in double figures as Aljami Durham finished with 14, Justin Smith had 13, De’Ron Davis finished with 12 and Devonte Green dropped off 11.

The Spartans didn’t help themselves at all missing free throws like the No.10 bus headed downtown. They were 8-22 from the foul line but the Hoosiers will take it and ride on back to Bloomington with some confidence.

I’m going to say it like my old man used to say it. “You done messed up now son! Now that I know you can do it there aren’t anymore excuses. I need to see that type of effort out of you from here on out. Otherwise it’s gonna be a problem.”

IU’s got way too much talent on the floor to be getting pushed around by duns like Nebraska, Rutgers, Northwestern etc. You can’t lose those types of games and they’re NOT supposed to be getting blasted by Purdue either. That’s a rivalry game so it’s supposed to be close either way. Thanks for finally playing with some pride. Stop me when I start lyin’!
