The First Amendment is going to get privileged NBA fans hurt! Westbrook disrespected again! “Give-A-What”

Once again we’ve got NBA fans that have the bread/influence or both to have tickets right on the floor near the players and they’ve crossed the line yet again. On Monday night in Utah Russell Westbrook (Young Russ) was told by a fan and his wife to “Get down on your knees like you’re used to.”

Well playas…as a result of that foolishness Young Russ told the both of them that he would “F— up ole boy and his wife.” That response to the racially charged comment by the fan went viral on Twitter and guess what? Now everybody’s looking side ways at Russ this morning because he did what boyz call “Backed a boy up off of him.” Now it’s the headline this morning. “Young Russ threatens a fan and his wife.” Ain’t that a blip?

After the game Westbrook had this to say, “For me, I’m just not going to continue to take disrespect for my family, I just think there’s got to be something done. There’s got to be some consequences for those type of people that come to the game just to say and do whatever they want to say. I don’t think it’s fair to the players — not just to me, but I don’t think it’s fair to the players.”

He goes on to say, “And if I had to do it again, I would say the same exact thing, because I truly will stand up for myself, for my family, for my kids, for my wife, for my mom, for my dad every single time. I expect anybody else to do the same. So that’s kind of where I’m at with the whole situation. As for beating up his wife, I have never put my hand on a woman; I never will. Never been in any domestic violence before. Never have before, but once he said the comment, his wife repeated the same thing to me as well. So that’s kind of how that started. I know you guys only got the tail end of the video, but the start of the video is way more important and way more disrespectful than what you guys heard.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Just because there is something called the First Amendment doesn’t mean that you can just say whatever you want to say to a player and not get all of your teeth knocked out at some point. Cats like Young Russ understand that he’s one of the faces of the NBA so that’s why he didn’t dive into the stands and beat the brakes off of ole boy and scare the dog snot out of his wife. Russ makes way too much bread and has way too much to lose at this point.

However, one of these privileged fans are going to make the mistake and say the wrong thing to some dun that straight up doesn’t give-a-what and it’s going to be the “Malace at the Palace” all over a again. Ron Artest was one of those cats that didn’t give-a-what and dove in feet first.

Folks can keep acting like these players are circus animals if they want to. The First Amendment is going to get one of them hurt badly. Fans see these guys on television and know that they’re rich and famous. Therefore, in their minds they aren’t threatening to them.  They don’t understand that many of them are from the same hoods and ghettos that they are afraid to stop at the traffic light at. The same hoods and ghettos that they see on the news every morning that they warn their kids not to go to. The same hoods and ghettos that are war zones in most urban areas in America. Yeah, those hoods and ghettos bruh.

So now you wanna talk crazy to a player because you bought a ticket? Well guess what? The same instincts that allowed him to survive in those dangerous environments are still with him today with a pocket full of money. Not only did he grow up in that danger but most of the cats on that roster did too. Therefore, if one player were to, unfortunately, react badly the other players aren’t going to just stand there and let their teammate get whooped. Not going to happen so you’ll have the  “Malace in the Palace” on steroids. Why? Because of social media is alive and well today.

So keep on saying crazy stuff to the players and acting like it won’t pop off again. Ron Artest wasn’t the only “don’t give-a-what” player to ever play in the NBA and when it happens don’t sit there and act like you’re flabbergasted that you just got all of your teeth knocked out and it’s gone viral. Stop me when I start lyin’!
