The College Football Playoff Committee FINALLY got it right! “Let’s Ride”

For the first time since the College Football Playoff was rolled out in 2014 they’ve got it right. They’ve got four Power 5 conference champions fighting for all of the marbles. In years past they’ve had duns like Alabama playing when they didn’t even win their conference championship. Leaving more deserving teams out in the cold. If you don’t win your conference you shouldn’t be in the Playoff “PERIODT!!!”

Now we’ve got something that EVERYBODY can live with. They moved LSU to No.1 from No.2 after a blow out win over then No.4 Georgia 37-10 in the SEC title game.

LSU finished the season with 5 wins over Top 10 teams which is the most ever. You can’t hate on them for that. So they DESERVE to be No.1.

Ohio State won the Big Ten championship by beating Wisconsin so they’ve been placed at No.2. Clemson ran the table in a horrible ACC but they are the defending national champs and that’s why they sit at No.3. It really doesn’t matter that the ACC was bad this year. The Tigers are the real deal.

Nobody ever questioned Miami when they were beating the brakes off of the TERRIBLE and God awful Big East for years winning 5 national championships in 20 years. Then they moved to the ACC and haven’t sniffed a conference title since, let alone a national championship. Oh yeah at least three of those national championships were played on their home field. Don’t get me started on The U.

Everybody and their Uncle LeRoy needs to sing LSU’s praises for blasting Georgia because that opened the door for now No.4 Oklahoma to get a seat at the table. If Georgia had beaten LSU or even played them close they would have put two SEC teams into the Playoff and nobody other than SEC fans would have wanted to see that foolishness.

Now we’ve got something that we ALL can work with. Four Power 5 conference champions wrestling in the middle of the street for all of the marbles.

No.1 LSU and No.4 Oklahoma will go at it in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in the Atlanta and No.2 Ohio State and No.3 Clemson will set the tone in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona on December 28. The National Championship will then be held on January 13 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

It doesn’t get any better than this. The committee finally got it right. Now it’s time to put up or shut up. Stop me when I start lyin’!
