The Clippers getting rid of Doc Rivers makes ABSOLUTELY NO sense! “Self Awareness”

It’s always funny to me when the girl that’s really a 4 thinks she’s a cosmetic 10 or when the dude that’s really a 2 struts around like he’s a 10. Self awareness is critical to survival not delusion. The Los Angeles Clippers walked Doc Rivers out of the door on Monday. Sure it was announced that they mutually agreed to go their separate ways but we all know that chairman Steve Ballmore didn’t give that dun an option.

Now everybody standing on the street watching this car accident is agreeing that Doc should have been fired/let go whichever makes you feel the most comfortable saying.

They brought in Kawhi Leonard fresh off of a championship in Toronto. They talked Paul George into joining him with a cast of role players that every so-called expert covering the NBA said would be a championship team.

On paper they had already won the NBA title without even stepping on the court. They had all of the horses and the defenders from another planet. Then they went out and finished with a 49-23 record in the regular season which was the fourth best in franchise history!!! However, they blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets and were sent to the crib.

Now the world says that it makes sense to fire Doc Rivers because they underachieved based on everybody’s expectations of the Clippers.

But hold up playa…aren’t the Clippers relevant right now? Boyz are actually watching the Clippers play basketball. They haven’t been worth two dead flies smashed my entire life and I’m 53 years old! They haven’t been to the finals in 50 years and they’ve been horrible for at least 42 of those years.

Doc Rivers has been the coach in five of the Clippers’ six best regular seasons. In my Country Wayne voice, “Let that sizzle in your spirit.”

If the guy that has brought your franchise out of the ashes and made it relevant stomps his toe you’re saying that he should be fired? How much sense does that make?

Here’s the question that I always ask irrational thinkers that believe that it makes sense to fire a boy. Who you gone go get? There is a reason why all of those guys showed up in LA and didn’t sign with the Lakers. They didn’t sign with the Clippers because it was the Clippers. They signed with Doc Rivers.

So what makes you think that the next coach that comes in is going to get the same trust from those players? I’m just asking? Sometimes you’ve got to be patient and let it work itself out.

It’s like all of the Bears fans hollerin’ and screamin’ that it made sense to fire Lovie Smith after he won 10 games in freakin’ Chicago. He went 10-6 and didn’t make the playoffs because the division was better that season not because he couldn’t coach. They fired him, have gone through multiple coaches and haven’t been worth two dead flies smashed since.

You can’t fire a dun for being more successful than you’ve ever seen the franchise be. It’s stupid is what it is. Again, who you gone go get now?” And guess what? You’ve got to start all over. Some folks can’t stay out of their own way. The Clippers aren’t the Lakers. You can’t have expectations like that because you have no history to compare it to. Stop me when I start lyin’!
