Now keep in mind that they picked up his fifth year option for the 2021 season that will pay him $24.8 million. He’s already scheduled to make $2.8 million this upcoming season. So in all, he’s under contract for the next 12 seasons for a total of $427.6 million. That’s the largest contract in American professional sports. That’s NUTS!!!!
Mike Trout had the previous distinction of having the largest contract when he signed with the Los Angeles Angels in March of 2019 for $426.5 million. Now Mahomes is standing on the top of the mountain butt naked foamin’ at the mouth. Let me say that again playa, $427.6 million!!!!! FOR ONE PERSON!!! Are you kidding me?
