Dream co-owner Kelly Leoffler has lost ALL of her mind speaking out against BLM. The WNBA is 80% black and Atlanta is the Mecca.

When you hear someone say that a person has absolutely no self-awareness look it up. In the dictionary there’s going to be a 3D picture of Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.). She is the co-owner of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream. This woman had the audacity to write a letter to the commissioner of the league Cathy Engelbert to express her displeasure for the league will be displaying “Black Lives Matter” prominently on the court when they start play at IMG in Bradenton, Florida.

In her letter she wrote, “I adamantly oppose the Black Lives Matter political movement, which has advocated for the defunding of police, called for the removal of Jesus from churches and the disruption of the nuclear family structure, harbored anti-Semitic views, and promoted violence and destruction across the country. I believe it is totally misaligned with the values and goals of the WNBA and the Atlanta Dream, where we support tolerance and inclusion.”

First of all, eighty percent of the league is black and she co-owns a team that is located in the black Mecca of these United States. What’s wrong with her?

She’s obviously a strong Trump supporter but this ain’t that. She’s not at a rally of Trump supporters that think like she thinks. Atlanta nor the WNBA as a community is rocking with Trump’s divisive tactics. So that foolishness isn’t going to fly.

The WNBPA didn’t waste any time going to Twitter to express their anger with Loeffler’s criticism.

The WNBA was right on top of it too as they issued a statement Tuesday saying, “The WNBA is based on the principle of equal and fair treatment of all people and we, along with the teams and players, will continue to use our platforms to vigorously advocate for social justice. Sen. Kelly Loeffler has not served as a Governor of the Atlanta Dream since October 2019 and is no longer involved in the day-to-day business of the team.”

It’s incredible that some white folks in this country only want equal rights for themselves and for the people that only look like them. When others speak out about the injustice that they’ve experienced in this country it’s labeled as racist or divisive. Unbelievable.

Leoffler wants an American flag on the jerseys instead. However, the flag represents the First Amendment that gives EVERY American the right to free speech. Don’t the players have a right to speak out against racial and social injustice? Some of these people are crazy.

I’m glad that the WNBA and the WNBPA immediately spoke out against her criticism. She won’t be a co-owner for very much longer I can almost guarantee that. Stop me when I start lyin’!
