HATERSVILLE, USA — Now that the NBA free agency is in full tilt boyz are upset that players are actually makin’ their own decisions as to where they will play in 2018-19. Lebron dipped off to the Lakers and then the dominoes started fallin’ like gangstas at a territory war in the projects.
On Monday night Boogie Cousins signed a year deal for $5.3 million to play with Golden State. Cats literally started postin’ their disgust with the NBA callin’ it the AAU league etc. Some cats were sayin’ that their off of the NBA forever etc.
The Warriors will now become the first team since the 1975-76 Celtics to potentially start five All-Stars from the previous season. Cats around this piece are really hot about this bruh! Like really!!
Let’s Keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Nobody was upset when they thought Boogie was goin’ to the Lakers just a few days ago. Duns are mad because the defendin’ champs were smart enough to sign him. He’s been standin’ on the corner with his thumb up lookin’ for ride since free agency started and nobody stopped to pick him up.
So is it Golden State’s fault that they saw the dun standin’ out there shiverin’ and swooped him up? I’ve been sayin’ for years, that players don’t win championships organizations do. Golden State had the available bread and the good sense to sign him. If the other 29 teams wanted him they should have offered him a deal that’s better than what Golden State slid across the table at him. He wanted a long term deal and nobody hollered at him. So he took the $5.3 million to play with a team that had just won three out of the last four titles. Makes sense to me.
And guess what playa? It was still Boogie’s decision to sign wherever he wanted to because it’s called free agency.
What blows my mind is cats would rather the organizations trade, cut and pick and choose the players as opposed to the players bein’ in control of their own futures. Oscar Robinson fought for years for the players to be able to have true free agency. Now that they’ve got it fans are pissed that these young black men, for the most part, are controllin’ their futures and the bread that they decide to accept.
I’m not mad at them at all for makin’ moves and controllin’ the NBA. For far too long owners have dictated policy on who plays where and when. It’s about time that these young thunder cats have a say in what types of deals they sign or where.
If Boogie works out in Oakland more power to him. Now boyz need stop cryin’ and figure out how to beat them. Stop me when I start lyin’!
