Space Jam: A New Legacy was a smash at the box office. Your adult hater opinion doesn’t matter! “Don’t Hate The Playa!”

Now the LeBron haters have even more to hate on him about. The dun starred in a movie/cartoon that was No.1 at the box office. Space Jam: A New Legacy racked in $31.6 million to become No.1 at the box office over the weekend.

The amount of grown folks hollering that it was trash was ridiculous. First of all, it was freakin’ cartoon made for kids. So who cares what you’re 45 or 50 year old butt thinks about a cartoon. It wasn’t made for you.

Secondly, you watched it, A) because you were curious to see it. (Win for LeBron and his camp.) B) You took your kid/kids/grandkids to see. (Win again for LeBron and his camp.) C) You streamed it on HBO Max so you already paid for it. Another win for LeBron. It’s amazing what great marketing, promotion and a built-in revenue stream will do for a movie. HBO Max cut Warner Brothers in on that bread they were already getting to allow subscribers to get it for “free.”

Don’t hate the playa hate the game. If the movie were the worst movie ever made it still made a fortune on its debut weekend and in Hollywood that’s all that counts. As long as the studio got it’s money back and made some LeBron is their guy. Winning….

Who cares what a fully grown adult cares about a kid movie as long as the kids enjoyed it. Ninety percent of these cats were going to trash the movie without even laying an eye on it because it was LeBron.

I thought the movie was pretty good. It wasn’t Shrek or Cars by any stretch of the imagination but it was worth the watch and your kids or grandkids will love it. Who doesn’t love the Looney Tunes Crew? Stop me when I start lyin’!
